I don't think the Allams, as ****ish as they are, would be stupid enough to sell to the Oystons.

these on here? PLT and his ilk would have you believe that anything is better than AA.
Be careful what you wish for.

Presumably they'll be at the game tomorrow, I wish I'd looked who was in Ehab's car now...

Hull City 'in constructive talks with potential buyer'

Hull City have opened exploratory discussions with a potential buyer with a view to the sale of the club.

The City vice chairman Ehab Allam is understood to have held a "constructive" discussion over the weekend with representatives from the interested party.

With the club on the verge of reaching the Championship playoff final at Wembley, the Tigers are remaining tight lipped today over the potential sale, however the Mail has learnt the team representing the interested buyer spent the weekend in Hull and took a tour of the club's facilities.

The potential buyers are understood to be from overseas and flew in at the weekend. City have previously been linked with consortia from America and China. BBC Radio Humberside were also reporting the interest today.

Two years have passed since chairman Assem Allam put the club up for sale in the wake of losing a first bid to the Football Association to change the club's name. The family's position has not changed in the interim, with the sale of the club always part of their plan.

However, despite speculation linking the club with a number of consortia in the past year, City's owners have not fielded a serious offer before now.

Due to confidentiality clauses in place, details of the current bid and bidders are currently scarce, but it seems highly unlikely any details will emerge until after what everyone hopes will be a Wembley visit on Saturday May 28 for the Championship play-off final. City play Derby County on Tuesday night at the KC Stadium with a 3-0 advantage from the first leg.

Any sale of the club would be greatly affected by promotion to the Premier League or a failure to go up, with City's uncertainty regarding their prospective division next season a current stumbling block to any deal being agreed imminently.

Speaking exclusively to the Mail back in March, Ehab Allam told the Mail there were interested parties, but the Allam family wanted to make sure the right buyer was found.

"We've always said we want the club to go to a good home and that hasn't changed. We still want what is best for the club," Mr Allam told the Mail.

"There are interested parties, but most interested parties are interested in the Premier League and there are no locally interested parties."

****s sake Ehab, you're going bald. Deal with it and embrace it!

Or what if the new Azerbaijani (or whatever) owners come in and decide Ehaw is an excellent CEO who has trimmed overheads to the bone and has been associated with 2 promotions, a Cup Final etc

People assume new owners will be wise and benevolent.
History, especially ours, usually shows the opposite.

Hull City play their home matches at the KCom Stadium
Talks have begun about a possible takeover of Championship side Hull City, reports BBC Radio Humberside.

The club have been up for sale since 2014, after the Football Association turned down owner Assem Allam's request to a change of name to Hull Tigers.

As offer is now understood to have been made and talks held over the weekend have been described as "constructive".

Hull face Derby in the second leg of their play-off semi-final on Tuesday, having won the first game 3-0.

In May 2015, Egyptian Allam told BBC Look North he hadrejected offers for the club as he wishes to ensure it goes to a "good home".

Allam took charge of the Tigers in December 2010 and they were subsequently promoted back to the Premier League under manager Steve Bruce, before relegation last May.

10 hours ahead but it's still the year 1716 down there.

In Sydney we are only 10 hours ahead for about 2 weeks in the year. The rest of the year we are either 9 hours or 11 hours ahead of the UK. In NSW clocks go back an hour in early April and forward an hour in early October.

So currently we are 9 hours ahead until October.
