City hadn't been all that great before the announcement, but pretty much as soon as the cut Pellegrini's knees out from under him their season went to ****. They lost three in a row in the PL, including at home to both their main title challengers, got humiliated in the FA Cup, needed penalties to squeeze past an average Liverpool side in the LC and barely even turned up at the Bernabeu.

Before the announcement there were three points off the top and challenging for four trophies. Now they are 15 points off the top and challenging to join West Ham and Southampton in next season's Europa League.

Basically announcing Guardiola in February has turned them from potential challengers into the sort of bottlers that even Arsenal can't match.

Yup.
There is not question that City's form went to **** when Pep was announced.
They weren't setting the world on fire before, but they were within earshot of the title.
Since February they have been dreadful, because, as people have pointed out, there was no incentive from Pellegrini, or most of the senior players, to do well, as they know they are ALL being **** canned in the summer

The north east will be well represented next season:

Sunderland, Middlesbrough and Hull (hopefully ). All their good clubs will be there :bandit:

Liverpool very good in first half, very poor in second half. Sevilla very poor in first half, excellent in second half.

Good game, great result.

Hahahahahaha.

Massive congratulations to the RS and Kloppyflop (!) for their glorious qualification to champions League. <applause> <laugh> <laugh>

Made my week and my season. [HASHTAG]#kloppyflop[/HASHTAG] put all his eggs in the one basket. AstroTurd was absolutely right. He is vastly overrated and we are all in [HASHTAG]#fear[/HASHTAG] of the RS.

What a great night for football.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Lost to the better team, disappointing, we have some ****e in our team the Klopp will sort. Should've had a couple of pens + a goal ruled out but in the end Sevilla took control after we didnt take advantage when dominating

Great run though, beating you, Dortmund and Villareal in some very special games!

Would've loved to have won it of course so annoyed, beautiful trophy, looking forward to the ins and out over the summer

The thing I hate most about Klopp is that I like him.

I particularly like how he has absolutely no plan B.

Made this point to Sky when he was banging on about Klopp's assistant basically being his footballing twin. If the whole management team is all on the same page, then you have nowhere to go when it doesn't go to plan.

Smart thing to do when you concede a quick goal is slow it down, take a breath, regroup. Klopp can't do that, he just gets his players to do more headless chickening around the pitch and they get picked off. Happened against Southampton a few months back - Liverpool cruising, Saints get a goal and the team has no response and falls apart.

Long may it continue <ok>

how stupid a manager can be to let 1-0 up at first half slip away
no European competition next season, less points than Rodgers ever did
and funny how Loserpool started pumping high balls to big tall strikers ... even Sam Allardyce can do it better <laugh><laugh>
