New Manager rumours

It seems that Mazzarri has reached agreement and is due to sign a two year contract.

Wonder if he also has a clause that he can go after a year?

 

I Have the same coolness as I did when I heard Flores was the manager/coach - another one who did well and then nothing to talk about for 2 years.
The Italian and European way is for annual coach changes. Still rare to have long term managers like the UK does.

 

Apparently he moved to England over 12 months ago to learn the language, which may explain his lack of recent work history. Better that than another Beppe I suppose...

 

Mazzari is the big favourite to take over and the other rumour is that Flores is off to Valencia!

I guess if he's always so laid back about his 'job security', he'll fit the bill for Cellino.

 

The "Pozza" family eh? Presumably that's the distaff side of our owners' family. As if Flores would deign to go to Leeds! Hah.

He did do a decent job over the season, the first half was amazing, the second half wasn't so great but it hasn;t been that bad, you're in the same position in the form table as you are in the league 13th.

 

There's a rumour going around in Italy that the Pozzo's are looking for as much experience as possible with the next manager and are keen on signing Vecchio Francese Calabrone.

I beg to differ. The second half of the season has been thoroughly awful and relegation form Thankfully, as it turned out, there were 3 worse teams than us, but only on first half of the season form, we were as bad as them for the second half of the season.

Mixed reviews about Mazzari - great at Napoli but poor with Inter.

Was quite bold and attacking at the former with a talented squad but with Inter more negative and stubborn.

We will see - a new league for him and lots of players to work with..
