I thought that. There was speculation on SSN on Sunday that if Mourinho comes to MU then Giggs is off.

Where better for him to 'cut his teeth'.

Apart from Pearson (who probably would be too expensive) none of those inspire me. Just the usual list of merry go round managers.

I hope its a manager we've never heard of from abroad like eg the Watford one or the Sheff Wed one. Obviously not someone from a minnow country like Norway<doh>

I know Jack about betting, but it seems, as far as SkyBet is concerned, Paul Trollope is favourite. Of that lot, I'd plump for Paul Clement, although he may have some baggage, a strange sacking from Derby. I am not sure we would land Pearson, but I like his style.

Paul Trollope 2/1 Paul Clement 3/1 Neil Warnock 4/1
Craig Bellamy 6/1 Rob Page 6/1 Steve Cotterill 6/1
Neil Ardley 16/1 Nigel Pearson 16/1
    Dave Jones 18/1
Tim Sherwood 20/1 Ryan Giggs 20/1 Scott Young 20/1
Gary Bowyer 25/1 Paul Lambert 25/1
Martin O'Neill 33/1 Gary Neville 33/1 David Moyes 33/1 Neil Lennon 33/1 Karl Robinson 33/1

I may have a sneaky Tenner on Warnock, especially after listening to his comments on 5live the other night. I would love to see him be appointed.

Cheers TM. He would not be an inspiring choice for us. Added something on the coaching side under Slade but not good enough to take us onwards and upwards.

Great season for the Gas. <ok> What a recovery over the last 2 years. A good friend of mine is a Gas fan and he was in a dead area for mobile reception when the second goal went in on Saturday. He got off the train thinking it was play offs again - until his mobile went wild!!!

Hope you're right mate, feels like Trollope has had his chance this time around. Needs a fresh approach or else we might as well have stuck with Slade.

I think you might find that Trollope will be popping up as a coach at another current championship club.

Sorry TM I didn't look closely enough at your piccie. I saw the shirt and assumed Gas. My error, wasn't meant as a wind up. You should really change the piccie as the league is no longer a gas free zone.

Id rather Trollope to Ryan Giggs. I look at him and LVG in the Man U dugout and they make Dave Jones look passionate.

**** knows if giggs would give us anything other than a 'big' name but he looks to me like he hates LVG.

LVG does something and giggs looks at him with thinly veiled contempt IMO. Can't see him coming to us tbh, but you never know. An 8th placed championship club would be a big opportunity for someone with no actual management experience.

My pick would be Carl Robinson of the Vancouver Whitecaps a mate of mine stateside has likened him to Eddie Howe.

Interesting option but not a fair comparison with Bournemouth as they were, I think, Div 2 and didn't have a pot to pi$$ in when Howe started.

Lots of smoke and mirrors at moment. We won't know until someone goes public.

Just checked Bournemouth were Div 2 and in trouble at the time. Stopped them going down though. Howe went through the ranks from 2006, player, player coach and then manager in 2009.
