We have proved that when we have a full compliment of players that our first XI is stronger than Man Utd;s and comfortably knocked them out of Europe this season. Even in the 1-0 loss at Anfield we were easily the best team and should've won had we taken our chances (though that's what happens when you don't have a Sturridge type available).

I don't think either of you can actually prove each other wrong though, its all a matter of opinion. One season Schneiderlin is the next Makelele this season he's looked ridiculously average. Last season Lovren was a joke now he's one of the form PL defenders. The only players who have constantly put in quality performances this season for either of the teams when played are De Gea, Clyne, Smalling, Can, Firmino, Martial & Coutinho which shows why we are both so low in the table when we have so little consistently good performers over the season. The rest of the players are either injury prone like Sturridge or just a bit meh, really. Like who cares whether you have Moreno or Rojo in the side? Neither of them can defend.

PS - You do know we've had more injuries than Man Utd this season, right? And had to play more games, more European travel and more extra time...

Plus we didn't beg UEFA to let us sleep in our own beds before a European game. And we turned up to our matches on time.

United also had campaigns in the europey and a run to the fa cup finals alongside the biggest decimation of their squad due to injuries....

So at the end of the season our extra 8 games won't have had an effect or taken its toll in any way?

Those 8 games are equal to their entire FA cup campaign including the replay and still have 1 game more on top of those.
And yep we've had injuries too.

At the start of the new year we had the second worst injuries in the PL (Newcastle the worst) http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/35313650

At the same time we also had the busiest schedule in all of Europe

Since then we also lost Can, Henderson, Origi so are still 2nd in the injury list

Man Utd are mid-table in injuries, and that's including Keane who hasn't actually played for them yet

[HASHTAG]#bbcsalford[/HASHTAG] continue their lie

"A window on the bus was smashed and the kick-off delayed by 45 minutes as a result of the trouble."

An outer layer of privacy glass was smashed and kick-off was delayed as a result of poor management

This is the table since Klopp took charge, win the game tonight and we move up to 4th. Not too far off but since the usual big dogs have been dire I'm not going to look into it too much. Also, we've dropped a few points recently with weaker squads due to our EL run in and of course the injuries this season.

Still no doubt we need to strengthen and build a better squad on what we already have though. <ok>

"Bottles were also thrown at Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea during the match"

Plastic bottles, in response to De Gea taunting the fans with gestures after Man Utd scored

Doesn't excuse the throwing but at least be honest, De Gea should be facing a match ban

If we win the EL then only Leicester will have had a better season, and we sacked our manager

Louis van Gaal: Has Manchester United boss blown chance with West Ham loss?

Manchester United's coach arrived late at Upton Park amid a hail of bottles from West Ham fans that recalled scenes from football's desperate days of 1970s hooliganism.

**** off. The players were laughing and posting selfies from inside their bulletproof luxury coach.

LVG has had 2 seasons and spent 200m on his own players... Klopp joined mid year with a bunch of players who had given up under Rodgers. Not much of a fair comparison like <ok>

And I wasn't going to bring up injuries, but as you tried using it as an excuse for LVG I will... We've only had a settled CB pairing for the last couple months because one of Lovren/Skrtel/Sakho has been injured throughout the season at some point... Can has been out, Hendo has been out, Allen has been out, that's 3 of the 5 CM's we have in the squad.. oh and we lost Surridge, the 2nd best striker in the league for 75% of the campaign <ok>

United lost Shaw, Jones for long period, other than that, not really much damage to their squad.

In case you forgot we sacked our manager because of the poor results at the start of the season. Then we reached a cup final. Then we reached a European final. And we can still finish with more points than Man Utd.

But if LVG keeps his job because spending £300m and getting the same points as a club that sacked their manager mid-season is a massive achievement then I won't complain <ok>

You boys are missing the point here.

I think Klopps done a great job. The point here is Astro thinks that Man United team is **** and poor and only Shaw and Martial would get into your team.

The money spent and the time spent moulding the team is irrelevant in LVGs case he's gradually making the team worse!.

Considering astro thinks your team is so much better, how can a world class coach not be doing far better and is about on par with a **** united team with a **** manager who is underachieving.

The entire point of your question has been ignored, and for good reason......as there's no logical comeback to it...

Ergo it was astro talking out of his pipe.

You are missing the point

Klopp missed the first 9 games, had no preseason, was thrown in with the busiest schedule of all Europe, and now at the end of the season has a far greater priority of a European final and is playing reserves to rest players

Klopp's PL position means less than **** all, and he's still doing better than a manager who's spent £300m more and had years to impart is philosophy

So your idea of "on par" is a joke

Still avoiding his actual point then....
