I also went in the early 50's with my Granddad & Uncle, we always went to the very top of the North Stand standing area.
There was a large fence running from the top of the stand to the bottom, inside the fence were wooden bench seats these were directly behind the goal, they were usually empty.
Not after all the kids & teens climbed over the fence when the stewards were'n't watching. Did it all the time.

I know this post is contrary to the 'Say no...' campaign but I still want to watch City so here goes.....I am currently a concession in South Stand and wish to change seats to North Stand N2 area. We have been told since they sent out the new membership blurb that they couldn't administer changing of seats until today 9th May. I phoned up at 10 o'clock on the dot (opening hours) and was put on hold for 1/2 hour only to be told that they now can't do anything until next Monday 16th. Piss up and brewery springs to mind!!!

that is frankly ridiculous

According to Ehab it's 14%, which based on 17,000 average gate that is 2380. As you say he has no idea, and a couple of hundred is probably nearer the mark.

As I'm sure has been remarked before, if the club know the figure then they know the culprits and can put into action a plan to stop it.

Don't punish ALL the concessions with this ridiculous 'one price per zone' policy.

He's being deliberately misleading.

At the FWG meeting, we were told that they believed 14% of kids passes were being used by adults, which is closer to a couple of hundred.

To be fair, they did announce a weeks delay to allow for the sale of play-off tickets and it was widely reported.

My Granddad used to help me over too, probably sat alongside of you.
Didn't you also go to K.H.S when Cameron Walker was the head?
I did. You too ?

We used to get over right at the top of the stand, and gradually move forward towards the goal when the stewards took their eyes off us to watch the game themselves.

Stewards back then? Can only recall people on the gate and the odd copper wandering around the perimeter.

There was always people( kids ) climbing over at the North Stand in the seventies.
Like you say not stewards about most of the time.
You could also get under the fence on Kempton side if you wanted to get covered in dust on a dry day.

I certainly did Mr Hicks my favourite teacher. My Granddad wouldn't let me move very far from where he was standing
