Same reason it should still be a weekend.

Was the cl final on a Wednesday years ago?

I seem to remember it moving to a weekend

They never moved the uefa cup.

It used to be two legged final so back then sure it makes sense. Now?

Well I think the whole thing looks rushed in the qf and sf stages then it's a big gap to final.

The Europa final:

Are we confident about this final? obviously crucial to our future for many reasons: prestige, trophy but also income, CL football and new top players wanting to play in the CL. All our top performances have been at Anfield and our away matches have been average at best.

We HAVE to win it (!) or else we'll be back to square one. Sure we'll be full of optimism but we may be without European football next season. It may help our league games but our worst performances have been in the league not the cups.

havent you just answered your own question?

<laugh> No, I was just mocking the people who keep trying to paint footballers these days as soft because there weren't as many injuries etc. back in the 60s/70s/80s.

What was it like back in the 20's when Saint was in his prime though?

Oh for **** sake. Southampton score right after the stupid ****ing refs break.

That break is not in the rules and is amatuer hour.

Spurs bottling second now.

hes lucky fergie isnt still around, he would ave something to say about unfit refs :bandit:

Depends if it was his side taking the lead.

Honestly I have never seen a ref stop a game outside preseason friendly for water.

I have seen some world cup games have some accommodations but for a prem game to be stopped for drinks breaks all the rules.
