Sometimes i think it would have been easier just to get CMS in, and tbh i wouldnt have minded that at all.
I don't think Sven will let the Maynard thing run 'til the end of the month. He'll have a deadline whereby if it isn't accepeted he'll move on to another target - probably Monday or Tuesday.
Offer has not been accepted but it's not been rejected after 2 days. I say that's promising. I think if we get him the bid will be negotiated though.
With them considering out offer for Maynard that means they are now prepared to sell but probaly not at the offer we made so we can get around a table and thrash out a deal
There is one more option for him and I think it may be the one he is taking - don't sign for either Leicester or brizzle and run his contract down and get a lump sum signing on fee when he leaves brizzle on a free next year - A poor option for everyone, including Maynard
I reckon it'll be Gary Lineker wishing us all the best for the coming season. Can't see it being the announcement of a new signing tbh.
