Oh my bad, I thought he said that Hendo was in good shape ... For England. Damn, I must be seeing things now! Lol! Major lolz
Won't make any difference, Sevilla are a team who play open football so with your front 4 you should create lots of chances. I just think you will win this one.
However, Klopp says Henderson may feature in the Reds' Europa League final against Sevilla on 18 May. "Hendo is in a really good way so it's good for England," Klopp said. "There's no doubt about him being fit for the European Championships." Klopp says Henderson must play in Liverpool's final Premier League match of the season against West Brom at The Hawthorns on 15 May to be considered for the final against Sevilla in Basel three days later.
Yawn. I'm back home now so I can now disregard everything you say again, thanks for keeping me entertained whilst I was on the train.
Sturridge has apparently said he has no intentions of leaving Anfield, that's him gone then. Just making sure he gets his cut of the transfer fee as he has not asked for a move.
We won't sell Sturridge. He's still the best striker st the club. Unless we get a silly offer over £40m. Give him 2 chances and he'll stick one of them away, compared to benteke and Origi who need 3 or 4.
Yeah,he'll stay. Maybe Klopp has helped him through some mental hang ups re. injury etc. His quality as a striker is undoubted
Fans are allowed to state their opinions and in doing so about a player who goes with the wind with his comments regarding commitment to the club (may I point out, these were direct quotes), does not make their own loyalty questionable. With all due respect Jimmy, drop it. Sturridge is a great player but has cast doubt over his future when he is the club's star, highest paid player and we stuck by him during his tough injury period. We deserve more as fans than to have to read his comments. Let's face it, he does sulk and he is selfish, this isn't a dig, it's simple observation.
Stuck by him? There were so many fans that questioned his desire to return to action during his injury. Some even claimed that Sturridge was told by God he shouldn't play lol. At the end of the day, some fans don't like players with ambition, bit of arrogance and dare I say it, a personality. He sulks because he wants to play and score goals. He's selfish because he's a striker who wants to score goals. By all means, you can have choir boys like Henderson and Milner.
You cannot cherry pick "some fans" to suit your argument. That argument could be used for a number of different points. Some fans dislike Suarez but hated when he left, would I use such an example? No. Your highlighting of Milner and Henderson as choir boys is jumping on the other extreme so as to make any Sturridge critics seem irrational, as if the choir boys is the only alternative. I understand why he is selfish and a sulking type, but you cannot seriously defend a player for that unless it is completely warranted. At any club you need team players who can differentiate between opportunities they are ABLE to score, therefore correct in being selfish and passing where appropriate. It's a situational thing and no one should apologise for criticising a player when he makes the wrong decision at the detriment of the rest of the team. Just to clarify once again, I like Sturridge as a player and I want him to stay. But your absolute defence of him does not make sense. When a player needs to improve, it is fine to point it out. It doesn't make us disloyal. Similar to your raving of Emre Can a while back in a game where I personally felt he played poorly. Emre is one of my favourite players and I think he has a big future at the club. that does not shield him from constructive criticism. I don't mean to launch a personal attack on you Jimmy but your indirect digs (conveniently in hindsight often) is a little off in terms of accuracy sometimes.
Didn't hear any Leicester player moaning this season... suppose they are all choir boys who just happened to win the league? Problem is, Sturridge came back from injury and was back a bit, then would pull out with another little niggle.. plenty of ex pro's saying how he would always say he was never 100% fit but no player ever is.. from a distance he just seems like it's all about him and he won't put the team before himself, even moaning when he's on the bench. Yeah you want players with ambition but there is a way to say that you don't like being on the bench, you caveat it with "But I understand the team are doing well and that's the most important thing". Strikes very much of Owen, putting himself and his own record above the teams. Would I keep him? Absolutely, he's the best striker we have. But you can't blame fans for questioning him. All we want is players that put the team before anything else
I actually think Origi suits our style better at the moment. His pace and proper pressing is superior to anything Sturridge can offer.
modern over paid prem player sadly. applies to all clubs. they are all looking out for themselves, the trick is to not give them a reason to want to fecking leave, hopefully klopp has done this with sturridge
