Oh, I remember seeing him score a free kick against Dortmund once. That's about it. Not gonna pretend I know the guy.
Meanwhile, Liverpool have made a formal bid for Barcelona's former Arsenal defender Thomas Vermaelen, 30. (Sport - in Spanish) Borussia Dortmund's Serbian defender Neven Subotic, 27, also looks set to join Liverpool in the summer. (Revier Sport - in German)
Fee set of Super Danny Ings.. £6.5m rising to £8m + 20% of any profit on any future sale of the player.. Good deal!
Not a great deal considering weve hardly had a chance to use him yet tbh i was expecting a lower fee, 4m ish
That seems quite fair. Given we are going to prob sell him anyway I think it's fair to burnley without being exorbitant
6.5m is what we have to pay now.. If we have to pay the extra 1.5m then you'd have to assume he's banged in loads of goals for us, WIN, we've won a pot, WIN, we've qualified for the CL, WIN.. So, the fee pays for itself and them some if the targets are met! Not saying he's gonna oust Origi, Sturridge, A N Other striker should we sell Benteke, but he's not a bad option to have! Fits perfectly into Klopps high energy game and he's not a bad finisher to be honest!
Expected £6.5m as a stand alone one-off payment but not bad I guess. I think he's a solid option and suits Klopp's style well. Expect him to lead the line next season in the Capital One Cup and fill in well when required in the league. I do think he'd have got more game time under Klopp than Benteke. Possibly even would have played ahead of Benteke today if he was available and fit!
Ings for me is perfect for klopps style of play, such a shame he hasnt been available this season for the most part as i think he ill thrive under kloppo
me too , what if he has a stormer next year and we sell him to city for 100m, burnley will be happy anyway
That's pretty fair price to be honest. If they were to sell him they'd have probably wanted 15m... Young English forward with 11 prem goals in his debut year in that league. Cant complain about that.
Hummels has requested a transfer t Bayern at the end of the season. Youve got to feel bit sorry for Dortmund fans, they get close to Bayern and then they just go take their best players. Goetze, Lewandowski, now hummels.
Looks like Utd are prepared to throw everything including the kitchen sink to get Aubameyang (sp?)...
It's basically the feeder club so Munich stay the force of Germany... I'd be pissed off if I supported Dortmund!!
Can sunderatand klopp getting fed up and deciding to go elsewhere. Nothing Dortmund can really do about it unfortunately.
Think I read that Dortmund are resigned to losing 2 of their 3 stars (hummels, auba and mkrityan) with the later the likeliest to stay.
Not fussed by the potential addition of £1.5 because, as you said, it means he's done the business. Plus, it's peanuts. Not keen on the 20% sell on clause though. Why include it? They've had their compensation already FFS!
