That's a bit of an exaggeration, he's played 26 games this season, there's only 14 players who've made more appearances than him (he played 22 times last season as well).
I just sat and thought who i would rather keep at the club next season and I honestly couldn't think of anyone. Some will say he's not our best player and I agree, he's not, but I think he could be. The only one who pushes him even close for me is Robertson but I'd still choose Harry as he should be our captain for the next 5 years.
Bruce's treatment of one of our two most promising young players is just another example of his obtuse man management, which has clearly alienated a growing number of our players and resulted in a plunge in morale and team spirit which is blindingly obvious on the field. This is not a happy Club. As several are now commenting nobody is happy...owners, manager, players, supporters. Personally I am more pissed off with what's happening than at any time in my 70 years as a Hull City fan....Radical change is desperately needed. And it starts at the top. Robertson and Maguire will be gone this summer. We are frittering away the best young talent we've ever had.
Problem is after the end of the season he has one year remaining. Given he hasn't probably played as many games as he would have liked I can't see him extending it. Therefore, unfortunately if a bid does come in this season I can see him leaving and I can see many suitors for his services. He's a great young centre half.
****e article. Maguire may be back in tonight. We beat Wolves in case anyone forgot. He can play the ****ing tea lady for me as long as we win.
Bollox. It's a squad game these days and there will always be player unrest as they all believe they should be playing. Dean Windass trying to undermine Phil Brown comes to mind. We are not a happy club because there is either no leadership or negative leadership from the owner and his son. (My free advice: ask Adam Pearson to allow Ehaw to be an Office Intern at Hull FC for 6 months so he can learn the basics of running a club, dealing with fans, generating goodwill and enthusiasm) You must be suffering from Alzheimers if you think this is the worst in 70 years: 1982 receivership when hopelessly in Div 4? 1996 relegation and the club giving the home end to away fans? Losing to Donny in 1997? Losing at home to Hednesford and Kidderminster? Getting locked out by Lloyd? Lloyd trying to move us to the Boulevard? We need the team to string a few wins together and hit the playoffs running. Then let's see where we are..... It's pathetic so many fans are throwing in the towel when we have a talented squad and a chance of promotion. Do they want us to fail, ffs?
I think Canada is referring to the potential that we currently have that is being pissed down the drain, along with much of the goodwill by harebrained schemes from the Allam's.
Still time to back the team through the playoffs to Wembley, or has the towel already been thrown in by some supporters?
Brucie threw the towel in when he started defending against every team we played - he just gave up before we started each game
If both Robertson and Maguire go after this season I will be gutted, Maguire especially, what a way to stunt the future growth of your team by getting rid of its future stars and leaders.
