I assume you are talking about the Kevin Friend decision which was made despite our manager saying he was happy.

Agreed. Moss is a terrible ref but that Vardy decision was exactly right. I don't think he needed to get a card for diving - Vardy definitely instigated the contact and ended up tripping an opposing player when the ball was far away. That would normally be a yellow by itself.

Nobody on this planet can convince me that Vardy's first tackle was was worthy of a yellow. It's a disgraceful decision.

As for the red card incident, there is contact between both players. The referee should have given a goal kick and we would have all forgotten about it. It's neither a foul nor a dive.

It was appalling refereeing and Mark Halsey has summed it up better than anyone i've seen. He said "The first thing I was told when I started refereeing is not to look for trouble because trouble will come to you".

The referee didn't have a hold of the game whatsoever.

Vardy got done for persistent fouling not just that one tackle and was warned before that his next was a booking.

Dermot Gallagher (and ... exhale) is claiming that the yellow was given for cumulative fouls done by
Vardy prior, and that the ref had spoken to him on the matter (would need to see all the match footage
for that moment and the priors for this) .

    "Persistent fouling"?

You mean, he tackled someone just beforehand which also wasn't a foul.

Nobody is being serious when they look at the Kouyate tackle and says "That is worthy of a yellow card".

I definitely agree with your last sentence. Moss lost the game and failed to sort out the shoddy actions of the players.
I find it hard to blame him for it though, as there was a lot of ****ty behaviour going on.
Halsey criticising his old colleague is rather rich, too. Perhaps he should've phoned Fergie and asked him first?

I'm not sure why you've pointed out the contact between the players on the Vardy red, to be honest.
That was a major part of why he got booked.
He instigated the contact himself, then went down looking for a foul. It's a clear dive.

The first goal should've been a foul on Reid in your box and a penalty to West Ham.
Huth should've got a penalty, but also given away a number himself and the one that you got was as laughable as it was predictable.

Did Moss have a good game? Not really. He struggled with a pair of teams acting like children.
Did he cost Leicester the win? No. If anything he probably cost West Ham one.

And Vardy clearly calling him "a foocking coont"? I take it that's the referees fault as well?

Vardy earned that red card. He should also get an additional ban for abusing the official. I am sure you think it's ok for him to do that too and that referees 'have it coming to them.'

As much as I believe that abusing the ref should be something that results in punishment for a player, I doubt that it will happen.
Rooney does it every week and nothing ever happens to him. Maybe Vardy needs a few more caps, though.

There was some nice camera footage from Leicester's Youtube page showing a row between Moss and one of their officials.
The guy said something to him under his breath as he walked past, prompting the ref to come back and have a go at him.
It was followed by a bunch of their players swearing loudly about his performance.
It's all been nicely edited out now! <laugh>

Agree with most of that but I can't work out why you'd think he cost West Ham the win, I can only assume you saw the last 30 seconds.

Is Vardy not entitled to shield the ball? If it happens anywhere but the box then it's a foul all day long but because the referee couldn't help himself he had to make a statement. It was only a matter of time before a referee wanted to put himself into the headlines. I don't think there is (willing to be proven wrong) anything that says you can't leave your foot in and get fouled. A dive, as far as i'm aware, comes about via soft or no contact.

It's not a foul and it's certainly not a penalty. To play on from the goalkick would have been the correct decision.

It was an awful refereeing performance and I think a draw was a fair result given we were down to ten men. Both sides scored one fair goal each.

If the referee has any sense about him he will realise that the one game ban will be sufficient considering it was totally undeserved.

I can't stand seeing players swearing at officials and manhandling them. It should be an automatic red card. Referees at parks and junior levels are physically assaulted, threatened, etc. It's a disgrace and allowing it to go unpunished only invites it to occur more and more.

When Mido got 3 games extra for refusing to leave the field he fully deserved it. Surely respect should extend to the officials from players and managers alike? By all means have referees answer for their actions in a post-match interview but on the field they need to be respected.

Your first goal should've been a penalty to West Ham. Huth flattened Reid in the box, then you broke and scored.
Your second goal simply wasn't a penalty. It was debatably another dive and certainly not a foul.
Huth should've had a penalty himself.

That would make it 0-1, rather than 1-0, then 0-2, 0-3 and finally 1-3, by my reckoning.
The game probably wouldn't have gone the same way, obviously, but most of the big calls were either right or wrong in your favour.
Exactly this. We moan about refereeing performances, then make it a job that nobody with any sense would want.

Slaughtered in the media endlessly and abused on the pitch in every game.
    Who'd want to face that?

Edit: I'm aware of the irony of my username in this regard, by the way. He was and is a prick, though! <laugh>

    Huth didn't "flatten" Reid.

Huth stood his ground and Reid hit the deck, as he did every time they had a corner of a freekick.

I can't think of another sport where the officials are subjected to such abuse and just take it. Draw up a list of no-no's and state at the beginning of the season that transgression means a red card. A week or two later it will stop. There's no downside to it. It would raise the general perception of footballers and football.

The referee is getting all the attention which is again hiding the fact that leicester put in another average performance and got away with it

So,he deserved it? Just admit it was poor. It won't affect the outcome.

It was awful of him to point and swear at the referee. Of course it was.

Jamie Vardy did not do enough to be sent off, but that doesn't excuse him intimidating the referee. It's abhorrent behaviour and I wish it wasn't in our game.

Should be an additional 3 matches for bringing the game into disrepute (then again Moss should probably get the same)

    Absolutely 100% agree.

The referees need to stop pussyfooting about and, from the start of next season, make it well known that it won't be tolerated.
