Guaranteed i'm going to regret coming to GC for any sort of help, but anyway!

What's the best/quickest way to get to Straiton from the airport .. public transport wise? The company felt there was close enough of a proximity between the two to not have to hire me a car this time round :( but looks awkward as fook.

The best way to get round Edinburgh would be the city bypass, also known as the A720 ring road, which will take you all the way around Edinburgh as many times as you like.

Catch the 100 Airport Express and get off at the 'West End' / Shandwick Place. At the foot of Lothian Road (two mins. - just ask) get the 47 to 'Straiton - Park & Ride'.

Late edit; if you are staying overnight please let me know your preference in 'boozers' and advice will be freely given!

Aye so its a case of go into Edinburgh and get the bus back out? Assume a taxi is the only direct way there

EDIT: a night? im there for a week :/
 
Edinburgh is hoachin with bummers so depending upon your sexual preferences, be very careful when walking alone at night or pm ST and get his number for a night of guaranteed "hips and lips".
