Can't agree with much of that I'm afraid.

Can't agree with much of that tbh.
I thought we looked like we were thinking about the beach and Charlton were poor.
We started ok in a very average first half.
Phillips had a good first 15 minutes and then reverted to type. The first goal was the result of a good cross from Phillips which was just out of hoilett's reach and crept inside the far post.
2nd half we went from poor to terrible and Charlton should have scored 3 or 4. Their equaliser was the least they deserved.
Rangers were lethargic and moved the ball far too slowly. We missed Faurlin's passing badly.
I thought Luongo was poor and Hall reminds me more of Caulker every time I watch him.
I thought Kpekawa really struggled at CB but then he is a left back.
Ned was better whilst at CB and made some good tackles and interceptions.
I really like Robinson and he has a ridiculously long throw in too.
Hoilett did pretty well and Chery went close but was pretty quiet.
The long punt up to Polter is not a thing of beauty!
Smithies was again very good and along with Charlton's terrible finishing he kept the scores level.
The game was crying out for Faurlin's passing and Washington's endevour. Neither left the bench whilst the disappointing Polter and Luongo stayed on.
Phillips missed a sitter with a ridiculous tame effort when one on one with the keeper.
It looked for all the world that it was going to finish yet another bore draw until El Khayati came on and scored an absolute worldy, curling into the top corner after cutting in from the left.

All in all the game summed up your luck when you're down the bottom like Charlton. Should have won by 3 or 4 and lose to a 94th minute worldy.

Very surprised that you thought Luongo was poor, Col - I had him as our MOM.

How did others on here view his performance?

Thought he was in & out of the game at times & doesn't dominate like faulin in the middle, should play further up rather than holding midfielder, competed well but not one of his best games.

Lovely goal. Reminded me of Adel.

Agree - we need to invest in two young full backs and at least one more centre half.

We lost our shape completely from 60 minutes and but for very poor finishing and Smithies fine goalkeeping we'd have been punished.

More than anything else - we desperately lack an on-field captain. That must be Jimmy's key acquisition in the summer.
What ? Someone like ermmmm Barton ?

Got to give Connor, Nasser, Gladwin, Cole etc a chance now haven't we? Nothing to play for do let's blood some of these guys properly, it'd be criminal not to let Connor get a goal before the end of the season.
Speaking to Roller about this earlier and he said better find out if they can cut it now rather than wait until September, and I totally agree

Absolutely YES, but still JFH has to develop a team and with a collective spirit and ethos. He has to reward players for good performances and carrying out their jobs and when bringing in players he must not disturb the team balance and momentum. This, to me, is why he is not starting Cole, Gladwin, Petrusso, ElK and Conor all at once. I sort of understand this.
So whilst I approve of the juggling, I really do not understand why Phillips is starting...he is the player who does not fit in with the team ethos.
He will not be here next year, he doesn't want to be here. He is not the sort of player JFH seems to want in the team. He does not seem to be in the camaraderie group that the new players have formed. He is the only criticism I have of what JFH is doing.

Having said that I am not yet sure Gladwin is the answer.....Gladwin needs to play this season, because without a rapid improvement I cannot see him here next season...This is why he came on instead of Conor yesterday and he did nothing

Amazing how you lot can see better at away games than at home, and are actually having negative feelings after a game we won!
Either you're all drinking something too lovely at the Loft or the Addicks fed you some poison in the air and you saw the truth of our poor, poor team.
I was amazed we can continue to play that poorly against a team who's about to go down.

I was equally surprised that you had him as your MOM.
Speaking with Roller at half time, we both agreed that he should played further forward and not as a holding midfielder. I've always thought this and I thought he was ineffective yesterday playing alongside Henry.

I thought Luongo was on the periphery of the game. Hard to pick a MOM from that performance, but if pressed it would either be Smithies or Polter who put himself about all afternoon. As I've already said, Robinson had a decent game and lasted the 90 minutes which is promising after such a long absence. Nice little cameo from Gladwin & great strike from El Khayati, the rest looked they were wondering where they had left their passports ahead of the summer holidays.
