Feeling the european night excitement building now.
usually its far lesser sides in this comp and worrying about blowing it.. even besiktas last year were tainted by their last appearance at anfield despite years of development.

Getting excited but gots to say the Twitter love-in that's going on between us and them is a bit cringe and ruining it slightly
Dortmund, most likely the 3rd best team in Europe right now behind Barca and Bayern..
This team would (other than the two already mentioned) most likely beat the rest of the teams in the CL, I believe they are that good!
Yes Spurs rested a couple of players, but the ease in which they brushed them aside was eye catching, and this is a Spurs team that right now is a more consistent team than us and sitting second in our league..
I don't expect to beat Dortmund, I just want to see signs we can complete against such teams..
A "respectable" loss tomorrow and a good game at Anfield next week.. that'll do me!

Yeah it may be a bit OTT but even without Klopp both teams are similar in their social make-up, with similar (we've got a wee bit) History and success in Europe, heck we even share the same club anthem!
You/we can still sing/shout ourselves horse during the games, but before and after, a bit of mutual respect won't hurt anyone!

If they are then klopp seriously under performed last year as he needed to go and given they didn't win anything the year prior that too.
There's a cohort of clubs below barca and bayern under guariola are one of them. real, atletico, juve... i'd not rate dortmund any higher than those types.. psg... the fact is irrespective english clubs have slipped so badly that they are all better than us.

Wouldnt put them that high. Madrid, Juve, PSG would probably be ranked higher given their consistency in Europe and the leagues but they should be an established CL side, they just had a very odd year last year.
I agree. twitter love in is not by real fans it's by journos and club press officers etc.
mutual respect is all well and godd but its about twatting them
yeah it's the clubs' PR and social media bods doing it, mostly on our side by the looks of things
FFS, I'm bigging them up so when we fluke a win we can go on a self congratulatory rampage of beating one of the best teams in Europe ergo we're one of the best teams in Europe..
