He is ****ing mental to not make any changes then use that ****ing excuse. I'm sick to death of unchanged line ups leading to **** displays leading to **** excuses. Maloney, meyler, Hayden, Hernandez, elmo, Maguire all didn't play on the weekend (or at least didn't start) and all provided options to freshen things up. I've become a bit of a parody of myself in regards to maloney, but he must be wondering why he ****ing bothered. It's pathetic.
Well I would disagree with that statement 'charon'. Alex Bruce is a competent defender whose Premiership days may be over but he still has something to offer to a mid-Championship Club I would think. With his experience I would have no doubt that he would have offers coming his way.
Maguire not available last night as apparently he was injured in training and replaced by Maloney. Noted this in the Match Day thread.
Regardless, there was about a handful of very good players who could have replaced players. If Clucas was in any sort of doubt, why was Maloney not given a start over him? If Diame showed any sort of fatigue, why not start Hernandez?
Yep. I agreed with the unchanged team but you can't do that and then complain about tiredness. No other side has more depth than we do to deal with this.
Everyone must now be sick to death with this tiredness excuse. What about all the teams around us are they rolling out the , he looks leggy tired bollocks. They want to go do some proper job for a few weeks then they might be tired.
We have no depth whatsoever up front PLT. We have one recognized striker in Hernandez who seems to think that he is 'above' this level of football and can't be @rsed to put in a shift each week. It would be unfair of me to class the rest as "Not Strikers @rseholes" as they aren't even @rseholes @rseholes. We have a very solid defense to base our team on next season. Powell has yet to show us what he can do and Harry is still a 'work in progress'. Should The Hudd and Livermore stay with us then we will need two or three alternating 'strikers' (that is forwards who can put the ball in the back of the net with a little regularity) and we should look good. I do not think we will go up this season as we have gone 'pear-shaped' at exactly the wrong time but I do believe we will be in the play-offs. My forecast at the beginning of the season was the play-offs but getting knocked out by Middlesbrough - could well be on track for that. I have no doubt that bruce will receive a better offer from another Club and leave.
I'm beginning to wonder if Phelan might actually be a hindrance. I remember Tony Adams saying when he appointed an assistant manager the most important criteria is "he doesn't want my job". He got a lot of agreement within the game for this. Phelan quit Norwich cos he didn't get the top job and we've seen zero impact since he arrived - is he hankering after Bruce leaving?
I think Bruce may well go of his own accord in the summer and other clubs who may like him as their manager will already be alerted. The only problem with him leaving without a club to go to is we are then stuck with Phelan.
I remember Norwich fans were well pissed when Phelan left, cause he was a manager-in-waiting. would we be that worse off with MP instead of SB?
Any new boss would likely bring in his own staff. I would prefer the promotion of Clemence rather than Phelan but he would probably go with Bruce if he goes to another club. I would go for either Gary Rowett or Carl Robinson as a new boss. Younger, eager for success and passionate.
maybe a factor is: in reality how close is a takeover, does it depend on us been in the PL? If so will the summer could be to late so its twist or bust pappa. Bruce carnt motivate this team
With the club up for sale, we are not in a position to give a decent long term contract so we will finish up bringing in somebody unemployed who might accept one year, or appoint from within.
To be fair, when you get a manager in with a brain cell and bring in maybe 1 or 2 players then I think you'll trounce that league. It's absolutely packed with averageness and is due to be joined by Villa and two of Newcastle, Sunderland and Norwich as well as Wigan and Burton Albion. There definitely won't be any excuses, especially since the better squads look like being promoted.
That's if we hold on to many. Diame, Dawson, huddlestone, elmo, Hernandez, aluko, and possibly more will be up.
There's no excuse this season. to finish outside of the top two is disappointing to say the least and if we were to finish below 6th it will be a disgrace
