I have to say I would love Stones at Arsenal. Over-priced (because he is English) sure but for me he's got everything. Tall, strong, aggressive and technically gifted. I can see why Mourinho tried soo hard to sign him.
I really like Stones too, but... I think we need a no nonsense defender that loves to defend more than a footballing centre half. A younger version of Ashley Williams.
Take away his pace for a minute. Is this guys actually a good footballer? Because the last thing we need is another sprinter disguising as a professional footballer.
Sometimes it's not the player but the system they play in. Leicester play a well oiled defensive system that is very hard to break down. Robert Huth is one of the best defenders in the league at the moment, but would he be as effective playing for us? Probably not.
I agree with you in terms of a Huth type. I won't have him at Arsenal. Someone like Ashley Williams who can also play from the back. He can pick out a long range pass and also loves to get stuck in. Gabriel is decent on the ball his long passing is questionable though. But I like his appetite to defend. He just needs to control it.
If you are going to compare him with Oxo and Theo, then don't!! He is quick but he can pass to a team-mate, dribble pass opponents, slip a team-mate through on goal as well as score himself. Far, and away much better than the Ox, Walcott and Wellbeck.
Depends on the players I guess. I think Zlatan alone could be enough to turn this side into title winners. (would like another CB though too)
I think I might be the only Zlatan skeptic. How old he is he? I'd rather go for a younger, pacier striker. If only Welbz could improve is finishing he'd a banker! I'd rather Harry Kane (impossible) that Zlatan.
Zlatan is over 30 but his scoring record is phenominal and hes still doing it. He is quite an aggressive player and that could give us that missing spark.
He's 34. Didier Drogba was still excellent at that age , so Zlatan is not to be written off just yet. He makes CR look like a juvenile by comparison.
Zlatan is the best footballer on earth behind Ronaldo and Messi. But you are right to some extent at 34 he could go on for another 2-3 years at this level or he could decline very quickly. It's all about genetics so very hard to tell. I would love Kane or Lukaku as a long term option but if Zlatan can keep this level up for another year he could easily push us to a title. (40 goals and 15 assists in 42 games this Season.)
Number of pretty interesting articles on Xhaka. Plays primarily as a DM and is meant to be mustard at tackling and reading the game but best attribute is his passing afterwards. Also plays no10 for Switzerland...apparently. Supposedly very hard working and driven so a couple of things some of our players lack. Seems an unlikely signing but the rumours don't go away. Also, when asked about him Arsene didn't say no, just gave a coy grin and looked away. So, you know, we're either looking at him or Arsene fancies him.
Ozil's off in the summer. Where's he going, I hear you ask. Barca? Back to Real? A return to Germany, perhaps? Nah, he's off to Turkey, cos he's a Fenerbahce fan! http://www.express.co.uk/sport/foot...l-shock-talks-Fenerbahce-transfer-news-gossip I wish that these journalists would put a little effort in, from time to time. Lazy ****ers. Totally unconvincing crap.
