Well there it is. Another 1-0 win and fair play - this is what champions need to see themselves over the finish line. I didn't have much hope of Soton doing us a favour as they've been pretty indifferent most of the season. Leicester have a tricky back to back now in Sunderland and West Ham. Hopefully our B team can do a job on them because realistically they need to drop at least 3 points from those two games for us to stand a chance. This also requires us to take all 6 from United and Stoke - easier said than done. I've long resigned myself to the reality that Leicester will walk away with this title. As I said last night, our focus now needs to be made a bit more realistic - finishing 2nd and above Arsenal would be a lovely platform to go into next season from, and I suspect will ease the nerves of our run in.
5 out of the last 6 games they've won 1-0. **** doughnuts. That's lot of pizza!! Maybe they'll all die of heart attacks brought on by obesity?
You lot really are a bitter load of....... Nah like I said earlier, you don't mind dodgy decisions when in your favour do you !
Edit : You fook up big time and blame everyone and everything bar yourselves...... It's commonly known as being in denial !
I'm not sure we've had that many dodgy decisions, but the main problem I have is that winning every match 1-0 with very few shots and less possessoin isn't very, well, exciting is it? There also appears to have been a fair bit of luck involved, and now the refs are on your side I think it's getting to be a foregone conclusion. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy to have Leicester in second place, but I don't think you're a better team than us. And don't give me the 'table doesn't lie' crap, it regularly does!
You can say what you like, you were very lucky - again! That decision changed the course of the whole game.
Just had the misfortune to hear that cretin Collymore on the Leicester City Love in (talkshite) and apparently no one has worked out how to play against or outplayed Leicester all season - He clearly didn't see the match at the Lane in the league or the FA cup replay at the KP when we were without question the better side.
I didn't like it when Leeds played like it, I didn't like it when Arsenal played like it why should I feel any difference when Leicester play like it. You can enjoy your time in the light but to expect Spurs fans to appreciate the kind of negative football dished up by Leicester is stretching reality too far. Spurs have not won a lot in recent years but we have stayed true to playing decent football throughout as we still are. Spurs fans would not have it any other way. My view and I'm sure most Spurs fans view would not change from this wherever we were in the league. Just compare the game Liverpool v Spurs yesterday with Leicester v Southampton today. But why Leicester fans should come on here to bleat about our opinions I have no idea, you're winning the league FFS, enjoy it!
So the best team always win do they, no and you know that because its been a fairly regular occurence since Christmas
All you do with that comment is expose your lack of understanding of football although it could be just blind loyalty which is more understandable. Goalkeepers are put there to stop shots btw, it often happens
Whats worse is that they have brainwashed the media into thinking that they play some wonderful brand of football. Don't get me wrong if they win the league it will be a fantastic achievement but they are like a 90s Italian side (which I think is a compliment) and I never liked Italian football!
Like I said, Bitter ! You know what, Spurs have until now always been my second favourite team since the days of Chivers, Peters, Jennings ( hands like shovels ) Neighbour, Gilzean, Coates but now after reading some of the quotes on here ? Basically saying we don't mind playing understudy to Arsenal all these years cos we play half decent football ? Like I said, bitter and laughable !
Italian football, I hate to admit has been a little more successful than English football in my lifetime as I was only four in 66.
