may be yes. But kid gives balance. He is the only weak link in that back 4 possibly. If he isn't playing - Entire back 4 is weak. I would take Baba any day in our 11.
Wax on wax off and candles! Im wondering where this is going? Still a good three points against a relegation side who showed some spirit isnt too bad. Pato can only get sharper and Pedro is back looking sharp after his injury.
Exactly - Kid has had a proper run out only in the last 10 games. So no time to judge his potential. He has done OK and gives back 4 stability which is more important.
woah there lets not let ourselves be backed into torres territory again, i wouldn't be able to take it.
After watching the game yesterday on BT Sport, I have to write that we played well and I was mightily impressed with Pato's contribution. Going forward we played some superb football. However, I can't believe how Villa have fallen apart, hardly any fight in their side.
Like one of the BT commentators said - Glenn Hoddle? - if Villa continue to play like that they'll get relegated from the Championship to Div 1 next season.
Yup, definitely the poorest side in the PL that i can ever remember watching. Depressing too, since, in National terms, they are a giant of a club. One of only 5 European Champions to come from the UK.
We have had terribly ****ty luck with strikers, especially when we spend lots of money on them. In recent times the best 3 I can think of are Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, Didier Drogba and Diego Costa. (Actually Gudjohnsen was decent too) But there have been so many let downs in that area. Mateja Kezman, Hernan Crespo, Adrian Mutu, Andriy Shevchenko, Fernando Torres, Salomon Kalou, Radamel Falcao. Those guys have been bang average in some cases (Kalou, Crespo) or just plain old dogshit (Kezman, Torres, Falcao, Sheva).......or junky pricks like Mutu.
