?? This is why our transfer/recruitment policy is so messed up. This is almost symptomatic of the problems we've faced in the last few years. A high profile player is available but does not fit in our system and is not the player we need. But we still buy him because he is "quality". Haven't we learnt the lessons of Benteke and others? We should only buy a player if he is a player we need. I've no problem getting Gotze or any other top player if we need them.
But we do need him IMO. Klopp knows that and tried to get Texeira in January. We have one top creative player is Coutinho, when he was out we failed to score and had no link up play. We desperately need a quality player like him. The averageness of Lallana can **** off

I do like Allen, a decent squad player but not first XI material.. But if he wants game time, then fair play, if anyone sends 10m for him in our direction, given what we paid for him and the fact that he's in his last year, I'd take it. Ibe, I'd happily loan him out to a PL team where he'll play week in week out, the lad has potential but he isn't going to improve sitting on the bench, too young to sell just yet.
dunno. allen is going somewhere but who knows where. Ibe would be a mistake for europe. I know he's not great right now but he is club trained and we need 4 of them. He is one and honestly needs games to develop more. It is selfish to hold him but we need to.

Wouldnt say he's not needed, he's improve us for sure. He's not a player in a position which is urgent like a proper CM or GK but if the chance is there then shoukd snap him up while we can.
true. klopp needs to know he's not a busted flush first and then he's got to get past the bayern chiefs who bought him in the first place who are still there. after that... well.... has he the desire, he's got a ****e load of medals so whats his motivation? OIf klopp says all is good and gets him for 15mil then get him... 100% we cna always make room for him and improve the side.
I think we ought to rectify the urgent gaps and weaknesses first. I am not saying that he won't improve the side but like they say the strength of the chain is dependent on the weakest link...
Yeah they have Muller, Ribery, Robben, Costa, Lewandowski, Vidal and any other top top world class player they want to sign in the summer. I am confident Klopp knows a lot about him from his time at Dortmund, plus it helps to get some more Germans on board, maybe we can attract more.
Doesn't matter who you have or who you could buy, you don't let a great/good player go for £15 mil if you know you could get a lot more for him.
