I'd say its more: -He was a welcoming gift for Guardiola -Guardiola begins building team -Gotze gets injury, a few times -Guardiola continues building -Bayern become brilliant with out Gotze -Gotze returns but the side is a changed animal and he has been left behind.
Grujic is a teenager and attacking. It stick with Can initially I'd also leave the striker and sign a GK. Butland? Butland Clyne Matip Sakho Hector Can Gundagon Origi Gotze Coutinho Firmino
Gotze is quality - he's not broken into that team because he has Muller playing that same role, plus Costa, Coman, Ribery and Robben out on the wings. I don't think he's the player we need but it would be huge if we got him.
i like ox but we need players with something to prove, much rather klopp done the money on an unknown of his and trust that.
what i meant was i think we have seen his ceiling ability wise, injuries have held him back in a big way and the last thing we need to see klopp doing is buying injury prone overpriced english players but its a non story i think anyway
That's more like it. As you say he will probably never reach his true peak (like Walcott and Wilshere) through injury's.
its a shame too because he looked a potential beast a few seasons back, still better than wallcott though.
Totally agree. Had dortmund not the injuries I have to wonder if they'd not have come on more and won leagues in last two years. You have to ask.... if klopp couldn't get it done.... what went wrong.
Yes, they were already great, and dipped a bit in the early months and Guardiola. But he has built them into his own team now and done so whilst Gotze was injured. My point is that the team done to well without Gotze to justify changing it when Gotze returned.
