We do look to have a very good player on our hands, what's more nice is he is an Arsenal homegrown player, started his entire career from a boy at the academy, it's good to see that, a player from our own academy going through the ranks and now having the potential to be in the team, we haven't seen that enough as of late.

If I was Walcott and OXO I'd be very worried, if Iwobi can keep this up, then those 2 can consider themselves to have gone even further behind the pecking order because I even put Campbell ahead of those 2.

Both Walcott and the OX can learn a lot from Iwobi, from Walcott, he can learn to put some passion and a good work rate when he's in the side, prove his worth and show he really wants it, which he has not been doing at all for a few months now, as for the OX, he can learn to apply himself and his skills.

Yep, he's ahead of Walcott and Oxo at the moment. The lad needs to show consistency to make sure he's picked each week so that he can build on what is a really promising start to his Arsenal career. But he looks like he's got everything in his locker to make it at the top. He's also got a bit of an edge in terms of his sheer physicality which will bode well for him in the premier league, up against tough tackling defenders

I like Iwobi a lot. He has all the attributes to become a top player.

The key to becoming a World Class WF/AMF is consistency. When you look at Reus,Bale, Neymar etc.. they are expected top score 20+ goals a Season.

Chamberlain has lots of ability but his end product is awful Im not sure has has the mentality for the top level. Averaging 2-3 goals a Season. Walcott is better and is a decent finisher but in terms of form is still inconsistent. I like Campbell but again he needs to improve his output considerably.

Hopefully Iwobi can keep progressing and become a Top class player.

Yup he does, when you're making 100k+ and can't even get a start and are relegated to the bench with the manager having no trust in you, you know it's time to go, add insult to injury you get overtaken by 2 players who weren't even on the radar for a long time, Campbell, and then an academy reserve player.

As someone said, I think it was Jenas, 10 years at this club and Walcott has no real influence or role in the team, yeah he scored a **** load of goals in 1 season, and gets goals time-time, but overall, he still has no influence on our game, he's not someone who has the IT factor for us, not someone we suffer without.

I've been thinking about this recently in light of the England games. Adam Lallana has been getting games out wide ahead of Walcott is is generally considered a good talent - he gets a lot of praise. Walcott on the other hand is regularly criticised.
But is it warranted?.. Not not really.
But when you compare them Walcott gets you more goals, more assist, has a better passing accuracy.. In fact he outperforms Lallana in just about every area,.

Even this Season which has been a poor one for Walcott he still has 8 goals 5 assist in 35 apps (only 20 starts).
Lallana has 7 goals in 36. Juan Mata 8 goals in 39, Navas 7 goals in 39.. Even Coutinho only has 9 goals in a similar number of games (and he's apparently having a good Season)

My point is really this.. Even having a poor Season (which he is) the guy is still one of the more effective WF's in the league. He is absolutely worth keeping.

The Ox on the other hand is very quickly running out of time.

You cant really compare Walcott's stats to other WF's as he has started quite a few games as a central striker

Yes, Mata at one point was very good, but at United, he has been average, so we're not talking about the Mata of 3 years ago, but the Mata of now, so what's the Mata mate?

I don't deny Navas is a good player, and was rated when they bought him, but by all accounts, he has not been anything special, who knows, maybe we will see him live up to his potential if Pep plans for him.

Stats are important, I agree with you, but sometimes they can be skewed, the fact is, and we both know this, Walcott is largely anonymous in most games, he has been so bad recently, which is why he's on the bench. So he may have scored 8, got 5 assists, but overall, he has been useless in many games. Btw, 2 of those 8 goals came against the most useless Hull side, so that doesnt say much for him either. Coutinho may have only 1 more goal, but he brings so much more to the game than Walcott, he contributes to the team.

Yes, that's a fair point, BUT, it falls when you consider we pay him more than 100k a week, on that basis, that's a very very **** return. We are paying him world class wages for as you said it, a decent return of goals and a good squad player. So either we deduct his wages and pay him like a decent squad player, or we stop paying him world class wages which he's not worth, and get rid of him.

I just totally won the debate based on the last argument, and your own argument too.
