I think Lallana still has a big role to play. For Klopp's style to work in the PL we will need a big squad and smart rotation.
Lallana can perform in a few roles and is very good off the bench when seeing out a game.
I heard Klopp's see's Gotze as the perfect partner for Coutinho in AM. Klopp likes 2 AM's and 1 winger or wide forward behind and front man. All must be able to play high energy, high press, interchange and score goals.
Klopp has had high praise for Firmino as a striker, and Firmino has now started banging the goals in, he just needed time to settle. With AM players who can run ahead and also score it could work wonders.
I think a front trio of Gotze, Coutinho and Firmino sounds great. We just need a direct and acey player to truly unlock their potential. Maybe this can be Origi who can play wide or up top. Theo Walcott is a good example of the style of player I have in mind, but his injuries have taken their toll.
Sturridge may not be in shape or mind to fully rely on. But he could still be deadly off the bench and for certain key matches. Its all about smart rotation. Sturridge is a natural scoring who tends to score early or soon after joining the game, before he slows down. If he continues to score at his usual ratio, but cannot play full matches, he is still great value IMO.
Klopp will find one. it won't be ings, sturridge or benteke. he'll find the next lewandoski for us.. its about finding a guy with right attributes and attitude to develop and teaching. Not about buying finished product. buying the finished product is lazy man's management.
