Really disagree re Joe Allen. I've pretty much made a conscious to watch him every time he's played for Liverpool this season. Kind of a scouting report if you like. I set the game up on one screen, and then set up Twitter onto the inevitable Joe Allen trending feed to watch the comments.

When you get past the "Joe Allen thinks he's Pirlo", "Joe Allen looks like Rick from The Walking Dead", and "Joe Allen looks homeless/like Jesus" tweets, you see a HUGE amount of fans that can see that Joe is a transformed player this season. They praise the way that he links play, they praise the fact that he is moving the ball forward a hell of a lot more than he used to, they praise the fact that he's picking up assists and goals, they praise the fact that when he plays he is the guy putting a shift in and is the most intelligent presser of the opposition on the pitch. They ask how in the hell Henderson gets in the team ahead of him because he brings so much more to the side. He's come a long way, and sometimes it takes going to a club like Liverpool, get a huge amount of stick and then make changes to your game for the better to get back to the top. Currently, there are many Liverpool fans saying that Allen (along with Lallana and Lovren) are 3 players that they sincerely hope they keep rather than get rid of - a distinct change to 18 months ago.

If you'd asked me if I wanted Allen back 2 years ago, I'd have said no too. But having seen his transformation into a top player again this season (perhaps displayed by the clear difference he made to the Welsh midfield when he came on against NI - we suddenly had someone on who could actually incisively pass and we got our rewards) and if Rodgers were to come back, I'd highly expect Allen, with just a year left on his contract and lacking game time despite good performances, to follow.

Seems like Klop and his staff, disagree with you all those Liverpool fans. Be more than happy if he was to return to us though, be surprised unless of course BR is to become our new manager.

The loyalty shown Monk by some , saying he needed more time , after winning 1 out of his first 9 Premier League games and not playing well .... while some of the same some ridicule Guido after winning 4 out of his first 9 games speaks volumes .
I guess loyalty shown is only for the few , regardless of reasoning .

I Never wanted Monk appointed and wanted him gone after the Stoke game as that was as bad as it gets. I appreciate some wanted to give him time, but most of that came from the English Media and not that many on here, Guidolin I just not suited to this league as all he can see is negativity. As for him winning 4 in 9 we have been through this before, he wasn't there for at least 2 of those games.

Make that 3 as we can discount the Watford game too.
In the last 9 games, Curtis as a win ratio of 3 in 4 and Guido 1 in 5 if I'm correct.
    The figures speak for themselves.

You can't say one way or another what or what not Guido can do after 9 games ,
Guido has been in charge for 9 games , making line ups for all . 14 points which would be 60 points over a season .These are facts , split hairs all you want .
One could only imagine the abuse and disloyalty Guido would endure if he only had 1 win from his first 9 games .
Agenda based opinions rule the roust I'm afraid .
Anyone who wants to base their opinions of a manager after 9 games (with a team that he inherited and not built ) fine , myself I'll be appreciative the points and hope thinks improve with time .

Like your agenda speaks for itself .
Guido ran the practices , made the line ups ....seeing you hunt reasons to give our manager little to no credit is pitiful at best .

The results and performances speak for themselves roof.

Under Curtis we've been far more attacking and win games.

Under Guidolin we are terrified of string two passes together and are ****e.

I've no agenda, other than identifying, like so many on here, that Guido is not the answer and we need far better in the dug out next season.

Would you really take Guidolin over Rodgers?

You were one of the ones valley , backing Monk after 1 win in his first 9 games , while we played bad .
Suddenly no backing for Guido after 4 wins from 9 , why ?
I don't really care if backing or no backing is right or wrong ...just a bit of consistency please !

I think we can all see the **** football he gives us. The negativity he gives us and if he or you want to take credit for wins when he hadn't been at the training ground and was either in hospital or convalescing after a lung infection, would of been on strong medication and if you actually believe he was able to have any match day input (that is not picking the team as it is vurtually the same each week) from hospital then it is up to you. If this guys stays at the club we will be relegated next season, your blind adoration for him is even more staggering. Go to the Liberty and sit through that **** ( iam not trying to say you are not a fan as I know how far you live away) you just don't get the same feel watching on the TV I don't care what anyone says. The style is killing the atmosphere and will kill the club if he stays.

I think mate we will have to agree to disagree and we will find out soon enough as there are only a few weeks to wait and see what will happen.

Just to say I was hoping he would work for us and that his appointment was going to be another from left field and that no one had thought about unfortunately that just for me hasn't happened.

Monk deserved time because of what he did last season and because of his time at the club served. I also didn't know that Monk had stabbed Dyer in the back etc.
Guido has no affiliation with the club and has green brought in on a SHIRT TERM contract to help Curtis keep us up. Job done and thanks, but we as a club and fans expect/deserve better than was hat Guido is capable of bringing us.

Who do you want in charge roof? Guido or Brendan?

I'm talking about Monks first 9 games in charge taking over for Laudrup valley
Why should Monk get more time while we are playing bad while winning 1 from 9 and Guido get abuse after 4 wins from 9 .
I want Guido to stay , it's important IMO .
The idea of having 4 managers in a 24 game span is a deterrent to success and cohesion of players .
I'm not so short sighted as to think the first 9 games dictates a managers career ... Like some

As long as we got Allen for 7 million or less , no thanks .
We should be able to get someone better for any more money than that imo

I didn't want to create a thread just for this.

Can I just go off topic for a minute and just lighten this. Yesterday at Pyderri Park, Townhill (West Ends ground), the U16 west wales semi final was played between the mighty Sandfields (for who my son plays in goal) and Malsters. What a fantastic game guys and a brilliant advert for local youth football. to be fair in tricky conditions and on a piss poor pitch they served up the crowd a fantastic game. Malsters were awarded an early penalty to go one up and then just before half time added a second with a wicked deflection. Second half Sandfields turned it on and were level after about 10 mins of the second half. A superb freekick was scored by Sandfields but players hadn't seen the refs hand raised and it was disallowed. Sandfields missed 4 or 5 chances to win it, but didn't take them. The game went to extra time and the first period was cautious as no one wanted to lose it. The second period saw a great run from midfield and a great strike to put Sandfields 3-2 up. With seconds remaining malster broke through one on one and the keeper managed to turn the ball around the post and from the resulting free kick the ball was headed towards top corner only for the keeper to somehow get hands on it and turn it away as the final whistle sounded.

The game was played in the spirit it should have with a competitive edge worthy of a semi final.

Now the mighty Sandfields will represent Swansea in the West Wales cup final against Tenby. The final will be played at Stebonheath on 19/4/16

Guidolin was brought in to do a job i.e. keep us up and he looks like succeeding for which I will be ever grateful and the style of football played is secondary to that. No one will ever know for sure whether Monk would have, my personal view is that he would not have. Obviously as Jenkins has stated there will be a review of the season and whoever is appointed manager will have to rebuild personnel and tactics wise to get us back to playing winning and entertaining football. I would be happy to see Rodgers back as his coaching record is good even at Liverpool and it is wrong to suggest he has only been successful with players he has coached previously. As for Joe Allen I would like to see him back but it strikes me he may be a Klopp type player, good work rate and engine and may not be available

I I love how some who hated Curtis being in charge are now wanting to give him credit when he wasn't the manager..... Kinda funny really , agendas and opinions and how each effect the other is a laugh at times .
If we replace Guido in the summer , and completely starting over , is a receipe for relegation regardless of who comes in ....just an opinion , no agenda . I supported Curtis when he was in charge , I supported Guido since he was in charge , both have got us out of a lot of trouble regardless of the nitpicking of some .
