Yeah, I'd agree with all of that. I even grudgingly let that little cheat Maradonna into my top 3 as he was bloody awesome. When you take in his influence in tactics and play styles, as a player and a manager, and not forgetting his awesome playing abilities, we've probably just lost the greatest name in football who ever lived.
The tragedy is that George Best never played in a World Cup or he would be in most people's top 3, or certainly their top 5. I'd have to agree with Archers' top 3 for players who have graced the World stage though.
That's sort of why I stopped at three really. Best would have been next followed by MLT, but as neither played on the biggest stage of all they would have been harder to justify.
