Yeah, I'd agree with all of that. I even grudgingly let that little cheat Maradonna into my top 3 as he was bloody awesome.

When you take in his influence in tactics and play styles, as a player and a manager, and not forgetting his awesome playing abilities, we've probably just lost the greatest name in football who ever lived.

The tragedy is that George Best never played in a World Cup or he would be in most people's top 3, or certainly their top 5. I'd have to agree with Archers' top 3 for players who have graced the World stage though.

That's sort of why I stopped at three really. Best would have been next followed by MLT, but as neither played on the biggest stage of all they would have been harder to justify.

For anyone who follows tennis, Kyle Edmund spookily looks like the young Ron in that photo.

He certainly wasn't blown away by Novak either - 6-3, 6-3 is a better result than some top-class players have managed.

And Djokovic applauded him as he passed by as he left court....haven't seen that before.

Should Saints have a Cruyff tribute at the next home match, given Ron's obvious attachment to the man?

Perhaps we could beat Newcastle 14-0?

I'll go along with that, as long as Fraser doesn't attempt a Cruyff turn at any point.

How about beating Leicester 1-4. Would you settle for that ?
