Let's get some football talk on here, and try and build some hype for the grudge friendly tonight.

I think not bad. Really pleased with some selections. Kane, Alli, Dier, Butland, Smalling, Think Welbecks return has been really spicy, so worth a go.

Rose, I'm not a huge fan, but I think fair enough, Cahill has had a pretty poor season, as has Henderson Lallana has been a bit hit and miss too. So, I'd say my opinion is mixed, but intrigued. To me, it looks like the left side is our weak area.

Is Vardy injured? I think I'd rather Drinkwater to Henderson too.

I presume Vardy will start in the next friendly. Looks a reasonable side, as Roy said in one of his many pressers, we're effectively where Germany were 8-10 years ago. For the most part it's a young squad, and the experience will be invaluable. Hopefully this is a squad that can develop together as we build to tournaments beyond 2016, and not be disrupted by retirements of key players. I'm hoping the younger forwards can prove that life after Rooney can be positive for England.

I'd still like to see Rooney. I'd like to see him sit between Striker(s) and the midfield. Just wander. Pick the ball up, turn and pick a pass and take the ball forward. Sort of in the old "Hoolahan Role". Not starting every match obviously, but maybe starting important pressure matches or coming off the bench to calm things down or create something from nothing. I think he can still have an impact, he just has to be used differently, and less.

Surprised they haven't started Rashford for the under 21's tonight. Think he's in the Under 20's squad. in such form though, I think there is occasions you should express promote a player to get him involved and experienced at a higher level. I Would have liked to see him have U21 qualifying experience to go with his Euro and Premiership experience. He will probably be breaking into the England squad around the same time as the U21 players anyway.

Also, that kit the U21's are playing in? Is that a new Strip the main team will use? A third kit? Or the new home kit? Can't be an away kit.

Been saying we need to start Butland...

That was poor play and handling of an injury. They way we see keepers go down if anyone brushes them! He shew signs he was injured twice, and he decided to play on, and was unfit to stop a really easy shot straight at him. If that was in a world cup, we'd be out. Butland really F'ed up there. Really really poor.

Wish he made decisions like that when we played Stoke at home and was the best GK in the world.

Supporting England is so much like supporting Norwich. So many similarities.

Why do I keep doing this!? Every bloody friendly, I think by half time "Why have I bloody bothered". Here we are again....Same old England. Will never ever change.

We played ok, some players like Alli have been good. As usual, Just no class or ability to finish off chances. As I said, just like watching Norwich. So depressing, football these days.
