Lovren has improved a lot and Lucas has looked good at CB. I'd get rid of Skrtel and Toure and blow our big budget on a GK and our midfield, and hopefully a LB.
Personally, I think Lucas and Lovren have improved but they are still dross. We're at a stage where we don't concede and we praise Lovren just because he hasn't f*cked up. Same with Lucas. Lovren has been roasted a few times - against Palace, United and Soton. He is better protected now and he has improved slightly. But we cannot rely on either of them. Lucas has to go - he is a symbol of our decline, along with Skrtel and glen Johnson.
I read PSG willing to spend 45 million. If Studge had a vertebrae that's too cheap, but considering his bones are made of cooked rhubarb stalks I'd sell him for 30.
I guess it all depends on budget. I really think we need top quality GK, LB, DM and a creative midfielder. Its going to cost a bomb. As Matip is arriving for free CB may have to wait. if we sign the right players in the areas I mentioned they will receive even better protection and hopefully leadership. Some times not making a mistake is what you need from a CB. No team has 11 super stars.
Everything you said about Lovren could apply to Sakho too. Can't see many wanting us to get rid of Sakho. Without doubt we can improve of Lovren but I think he's a good squad player. Depends what we get offered if anything.
Sorry, what I meant by 'not ****ing up', I meant his usual massive brain farts. A more apt saying would have been 'he's being praised for merely being to tie his shoe laces correctly'. He's still making errors but not as high profile - positional errors, concentration etc. The guy was dribbled past by Fellaini!! Either way - he cannot be relied up on. Nor can a number of our players. I can't wait for them to sold! We are entering a new and exciting era.
