Interstate 80/75 connects East Liverpool, OH with Denver then taking the Interstate 85 north from Denver takes you to Watford City ND. Including Detroit in the trip is a bit of a pain because you have to leave the Inter State 80 at Toledo to get to Detroit, which, to be honest, isn't worth it. However, if you mean Liverpool NY you can go via Canada and loop round the north of Lake Erie to go through Detroit, then join the 80 at Toledo for the rest of the journey.

The only full back I can think of that fits the bill is Colin Meldrum. He only played in Div 3 and 4 throughout his league career which is unusual. Maybe.
