Hull City membership: How does season ticket replacement work?

When does it start?

A No new season tickets will be issued by the club. All existing season ticket holders will be sent information packs next week and be invited to enroll in the new members club.

How does it differ?

A Members pay monthly instead of annually and will the majority will be able to buy a member's pass for cheaper than a season ticket. Fans will choose what 'zone' in the KC Stadium they wish to reserve for the new season. There is a loyalty club too.

I currently pay a concession but don't want to move seat. Do I have to move?

A No, you don't have to move and can remain but you may not qualify for a membership which could be cheaper than your current season pass.

Will I get to choose my new seat if I move?

A Yes, the club says you will be invited down to the KC Stadium to look around and pick a seat.

What if I want to cancel my membership?

A City says supporters will be able to cancel membership at any time after three months and with one month notice.

Will I be able to join at any time?

A Yes, as long as there is capacity, anyone can become a new member at any time during the year.

Will there be a joining fee?

A The club says a £50 membership fee will be in place if City are promoted but members joining early will not have to pay.

What is the loyalty scheme?

A City says every game a member attends will add loyalty points to their account, much like a supermarket club card. Points can be redeemed for special offers or discounts on tickets.

Will I have to print out match-day tickets at home?

A No, the club says membership cards will either be pre-loaded with tickets or can be uploaded online so cards can be used to enter the KC Stadium.

I think there's a few kinks as with any new system, and there'll be short term hurt. If they can sort out the pricing issues I think this is a good idea long term. There should be some discount for kids though, even though I know this is partly to combat fraud. We have concession memberships here so my aussie rules membership cost 100 quid or something like that up until a certain age.
 
The club has simply divided the stadium up and priced the zones on the view and concession areas.

Why have they not considered clear flasker zones and non-flasker zones to facilitate safe standing in the future?
 
Great scheme..NOT! As one of the original Founders Club members of which 500 were available when we moved into the KC, I've just learnt that as I won't move my seat (why would I when I paid for the privilege from the outset), my ticket price will increase!!! In the intervening years all the promised little extras have not materialised either! Underwhelmed!
 
This is just a farce, pure and simple. Mass demand will be for the cheaper seats and most will miss out. Fans are being uprooted and moved round left, right and centre. The ticket prices really are staying the same, they're just cutting the spike off the adult tickets and dumping a larger amount into children and adolescents, talk about pricing out the future of the club, great move that.

The marketing around it seems to be around saving money, which is all based on the current prices in which every man and his dog knows were far too high. These new prices are still unreasonably expensive without deciding to charge concessions through the roof.

Some say it's to combat fraud, which is something I agree should be done. But there are many ways to do that and this just isn't it. Now the majority are paying for the crimes of a select few twats, nothing new there as that's how football fans are treated in all circles.

The whole scheme is a piss take, a rip off, a total ****ing joke. Its completely indefensible. A very select few single adults who manage to get in the cheapest zone will benefit from an incredible price, the rest are still paying over the odds.

With regards improving the atmosphere, this is going to juggle everyone around and mix flaskers with supporters. Any pockets of support round the stadium will be ripped apart and the atmosphere will only suffer for it.

As with everything the Allams do, have they consulted the fans beforehand? They deserve all that's coming in their direction!

The black zones S5 cover where I currently sit. I assume they'll be offered to the upper West as they have first dibs?

I'm all for lower ticket prices, but I like my current location. Price is largely irrelevant for me - I picked that seat in the KC as it was a similar view to the seat I had at Boothferry.

12x£21 + £50.

£18 more than a child currently pays for a season ticket just so they can have the privelidge of paying an extra £21 a month forever (or until they decide to up the prices by their normal 20% plus)

There's only one set of crooks & it isn't the rumoured odd few sneaking in on kid's tickets.

Confuses me since they're the ones getting it cheaper? Unless they each go with 2-3 kids?
 
Club should really make some areas 'GA' with no assigned seats, so those moaning about having to move seats don't have to get ****ty as they'll still be able to sit with the same people. If it's about that particular seat then they need to get over it.

There is no £50 charge for anyone joining now, it's only there to stop people trying to cancel their membership during the close season.
