I don't think he's been that exemplary to be honest. He's done enough. He looks a bit shakey and not as confident as he was to me.

Defending he's fine, still a very good player.

It's when he tries to bring the ball out of defence that he looks a bit awkward compared to Dawson and Maguire.
 
He's at an age now where he's going to start getting lots of soft tissue injuries. It'd be a shame to lose him for nowt but can we afford to pay what must be a sizeable wage to someone who's likely to spend half a season on the treatment table?

Rubbish. Recovery times drop away but as long as he is fit, as he obviously is, he can keep playing at the same level for a few more seasons. Be it not the same quantity of games
