Why are Arsenal playing today, when they've got Barca in the week? Is there some reason that they couldn't have had this fixture yesterday?
PSG have struggled their way through a tricky game to win the title in France. They beat bottom side Troyes 9-0 with Ibrahimovic scoring 4. That's something like his 28th trophy and 13th title. Ridiculous.
Arsenal doing their best to emulate Chavski, going out of the FA Cup and the Champions League in the space of seven days.
The BBC have been asking what happened since Arsenal last lost in the cup? Well I finished my cup of tea
It doesn't matter that HIAG is banned from the Arsenal board. Arsenal87 does a cracking job winding up Piskie. It's brilliant. I'm waiting to see if Piskie will reply to all the baiting!
I think Piskie banned him as he's a Mod on their board. HIAG is funny it's just Piskie doesn't have a sense of humour.
I don't think cheats can be great players. Pundits seem to forget that when making their assessments. Payet has had a good season (oh and lets not mention the dive against ManU), but a cheat is a cheat. I honestly wouldn't want us to win the title if someone dived for a vital penalty or something similar. Pundits also need to use the word "cheat" more instead of expressions like "won the penalty".
ive noticed the last few years that english players are now celebrating when "winning" a penalty, something usually english players never used to do.
Not true SMK, I saw Johnny Giles pat Alan Clarke on the cheek for being awarded a penalty at Ipswich in 1970. I've also seen it since.
Not true, Rodney Marsh was the King of the Divers, no one has come close since, even any of your lot.
I do wonder if some cumulative psychology could be done by a team on refs. For example, for a few times if your players go down in the box on contact but no genuine foul, you indicate to the ref you do not think you were clipped. Then at some time, the event happens, but you do not indicate anything. Would the ref when in some doubt, now give the penalty because you are a 'honest bunch of guys' ??
Was on about players celebrating and congratulating players who win pens rather than diving. bit before my time the 70s, and yeh theres always been an element of congratulations given to a penalty winner, its just these days it seems a lot more like theyve just scored a goal or something, our one against palace, true it was late in the game but it was a bit embarrassing to watch players run and hug a guy who just got "fouled" in the box.
