The main thing I disagree with is blaming AN for not strengthening the defence. Nothing you can do if they won't come!

Nothing you can do if a target won't come, but surely we should have had a list of several possible options, I cannot imagine Neil would have wanted to go into the season so light on quality at the back. Maybe we went for several but they all rejected us? Why did we not have a range that included some that would potentially jump at the chance? Surely we could have payed more than the majority of/all of the championship and offer PL football to boot. That goes for a number of foreign leagues too. I don't blame Neil alone, though I would if he was actually happy to go as was, the board are equally responsible as is our scouting team. With being the playoff winners I acknowledge that it is slightly harder to do business, but that is when effective people earn their corn and get things done. We did not! Bah!
