Dorrans made me so F*cking livid today, I didn't even swear at Olsson!!............That's how sh*t he was!!
Pammie from Roughton with the type of CanaryCall what mek the hul worl' gu roun' Utterly brilliant! http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p03mgczp
A bonus point that none of us saw coming. I still miss Championship football, but if we do stay up, I'll take that instead
I rated Gary O'Neil as MOM but didn't realise just how much extra effort he put in to the game. According to reports - "He made more passes and won more duels than any of his team-mates, and gained possession 11 times as well as running a kilometre more than any player from either side".
Good job. That's the sort of attitude, effort and commitment we need from the rest of the team in the run in
He was one of our better players early in the season, then he seemed to slip down the pecking order culminating in his stupid sending off at the Potteries, When he came back, he was some way off his best, but he seems up for the fight again now and if some of his desire rubs off on his team mates and who knows we MAY yet escape the clutches of relegation!!!
Let's not forget the part the crowd had in today's result, we were magnificent! It just proves that if the team put in a passionate performance then our support will get 100% behind them. Well done the faithful!
Yes ILD, the crowd really got behind the team yesterday and even when we went 1-0 down against Chelsea after 30 seconds or whatever it was, the crowd was really up for it. IMO, if the team performs on the pitch, the crows responds!!!
OK bors, we know Dorrans is not up to PL standard, the reason he was released by his previous club but in fairness to the player he did put in a stint yesterday that helped get us a point, so he missed a sitter, how many of our so-called strikers have done just that.
Daily Fail player ratings from yesterday - Ruddy 7; Martin 6.5, Bennett 7, Klose 7.5, Olsson 7; Howson 6.5, O'Neil 6; Redmond 6 (Dorrans 44 6), Hoolahan 6 (Mbokani 67), Jarvis 6; Bamford 6.5. Much improved from the numerous scores of under 6 a few weeks ago, but 'could do better!!'
Hi BH bor, looking at yesterday's game on MotD couldn't help but compare Bamford style with that old stalward of ours, Chris Sutton. Sutton could score but he also created a lot of chances for others.
Obviously i was not at the game so cannot make a definitive assessment of player ratings. But to rate O'Neill as 6 and Ruddy as 7 seems, from all you fortunate fans who were able to attend the game, ludicrous,
You're quite right, Ruddy had 2 things to do in that game, neither of them that difficult, O'Neill however was tremendous throughout. From a support point of view O'Neill 8, Ruddy 6.
You can't always tell from a stream but JR seems to be getting his confidence back and his command of the defensive area, the way he tore into Dorrans after the near disastrous attempted back pass, all very pleasing to see!
His decision making is still very sketchy. Twice in that game he went for crosses and didn't get the ball, his kicking is also pretty poor, the ball goes into touch quite often. He's a bit like Rob Green, a good shot stopper. I was okay with Rudd in goal, the defence let him down!!
