  1. "Liverpool win the first European meeting of these two giants."
    (BBC Football Live)

Sorry, but I think we definitely need to fix this...

"Liverpool win the first European meeting of these two former giants, now scraping around in mid-table obscurity."

    Yes, that's better.

You're right, there was only 1 European Giant playing last night.

I think after getting your backside handed to you by dortmund you should be worried about villa, anything but 3pts there and you could be falling out of the top 4

  3. Agreed, Sucky. We've got to find our arse (quickly, too), strap it back on, and get to business.

Id say you're out of the europa tbh, that has to be treated and 2nd priority for poch now and i reckon he'll plan for playing resting a few again but you'll be at home so how will that go down do you think?

a few were not happy with his selection yesterday tbh

Watching Dortmund last night and both matches, it's safe to say Spurs, United and Livpl are all out of Europa tbh.

Speak for yourself trebs *cough* <laugh>

But they did make spurs look completely inept for most of the game, i think thats why they are so butthurt on their rival thread tonight, shocking hospitality tonight tbh <laugh>

  7. To me, it's clear that Poch has prioritiesed the Prem.

    Ask yourself these questions.

    (1) What is the prize for winning the Europa League?
    (2) What is the prize for finishng in the top 4 in the Prem?
    (3) Do Spurs have more chance of finishing in the top 4 or of winning the Europa League?

I know a few Spurs fans are banging on about Poch making the "wrong" selection, but I absolutely disagree - I think he made the right selection, based on rationalizing his attainable priorities.

PS: We are going to crucify Villa.

    1) A trophy
    2) Qualification into a tournament you won't win.
    3) Irrelevant as you'll win neither but why not give the one you're more likely to get a trophy in the best shot.

  9. Wrong.

The correct answer is: we will get to the CL by finishing in the top 4, of which we have a greater chance of achieving than winning the Europa.

Poch's decisions, when viewed from this, highly intelligent perspective, now make perfect sense.

I am here to help you think. Please, do not thank me.

    i.e. qualifying for a competition

a competition you have less chance of winning than the Europa League

I'm glad we cleared that up <laugh>

I know you're not liking metaphors at the moment HIAG so I hope you like my simile instead...

Your whole premise is like the bloke who sells his TV to buy a DVD player. <laugh>

  12. What are you on about, man! I love metaphors!

I am the king of metaphors.

Surely you remember my famous "masturbating monkey" jibe. It was hilarious!

I didn't say that Pixie was like that masturbating monkey, I said that he was that masturbating monkey.

Have you emailed all your family and friends to tell them that you may have finally, after years of fruitless trying, said something a funny? (I mean on purpose, not accidentally make people laugh in your usual frank Spencer way)

What ****ing game is that twat, Marriner, watching!! One of the most blatant red cards you will ever see for a flying two footed tackle by Gabriel, right under the twat's nose. Not even a yellow!....<doh>

He should have played for all comps he had left. Only managers that bottle it decide to bypass one. Disrespectful to football too.

Poch has gone down in my opinion. If people claim he's so good then surely he's good enough to not #bottle it.

Poor half from the ref, he also missed the penalty for the foul on Ozil.

Hes not that good, one trophy i think in his career as a manager, people are getting confused because hes made spurs look a good side for the last year, in that year chavs, man u, and arguably us have had a mare. simple as that.

Can't argue with that, it was a bad challenge. Ref also missed the foul on Ozil so we should also have had a pen.

I'm sure I read that in previous seasons their points total now would have them hovering around 5th... Not certain on the sauce though, possibly HP.
