This must point to a change in policy, if it was just about survival then you would think maybe Pearson, moving for Rafa may suggest a real shift in the way in which the club is going to be run as Rafa wouldn't take a 3 year contract to be just another Head Coach, we live in interesting times.

There is an opt out clause if we are relegated. Stay up and it will be exciting times. He wouldn't have signed without a guarantee of full control. The club must finally have realised that their policy has been completely wrong.

You've done really well there lads.

Top manager and a nice bloke.

Underneath the likeable guy though is someone who will happily fight with the owners for what he thinks he needs and isn't a soft touch to the players.

Exactly what you need.

Great shout.

Holy Crap ..it happened!!!

whole new backroom staff...Cathro still here

Charnley refusing to commit seppuku is the only dark cloud on a great day

We could go places with him. Not talking about Wolverhampton, Blackburn, Doncaster or Bolton either. Stay up and next season may be exciting.
Frankly , I think Rafa will be happy with the squad he inherited , lots of tools to work with and him a master mechanic . This will be fun to watch , they deserve each other perfectly . I say from now till 38 games are complete , Newcastle will be the " Most Improved Team " .
