The tiredness has finally caught up with our squad. It was always going to be a big ask to get pass a team that is clearly far better than this competition, and which is undoubtedly the favourite to go on and win it. This Dortmund side would have taken apart any of the teams below us, especially the likes of Arsenal and United, both of which sides have crumbled shamelessly in the face of strong European opposition.

I think my overall feeling about going out of the competition will be one of relief. The lads will have learned from this experience, and now know, if they didn't already, that they are far from being the finished article, and that a lot more work is needed to be able to stand among Europe's elites. They can use the time to up their game and secure that title.

As for Dortmund, they are a class side, and so no shame being beaten by them.

<applause> .. amongst the bullshit there is actually some common sense in there ...... only to where the bold ends mind <laugh>

It is certainly true that Barca are going to give Arsenal a good drilling (as you say).

Personally, I don't mind the Arsenal children taking the piss. They've not had much of a chance to do that this season, so they are jumping at the chance, now. It's quite flattering, really.

Beaten by a better side in the night, mate. Can't say I totally understand the starting selection if we're supposed to be taking this seriously!..

HIAG's trying to put a brave face on it, but he will be 'crushed' that he was scoffing about 'laughing in the face of danger' before this game. <laugh>

Yeah, I can see your point. I can only assume that Poch has prioritised the Prem, and is keeping the squad as fresh as he can for our remaining fixtures.

I'll take the humping we got tonight, if he can lift the team and take the next 6 points in the league, to keep our title hopes on track.

What do you mean, Spurlock? A rolled-up newspaper to the nose and arse once in a while to keep the naughty scamp in check?

You seem very meek now HIAG after giving it large before this game. It must hurt that Arsenal won 0-4 away a mere 48 hours before you got your arses handed to you tonight :)

BOOM!

That's put-down #2 from Double-Barrels! A third and we'll call it a TKO.

You can't back track on this one mate. You said that Dortmund would take us apart and we beat them twice 2-0 and 1-0

It was a wum **** of HIAGIC proportions :)

Sometimes, one can do nothing other than hold up one's hands and admit one was undone. No point trying to make out anything other than the fact that Dortmund caned us - for the first time, this season, too. We can speculate as much as we may about whether or not Poch took the risk of us getting humped by playing a weaker side, but it doesn't detract from the fact that we got humped.

That's sport for you, at this level.

As I say, meek now that you've had your arse handed to you on a plate.

And owned for saying that Dortmund would take Arsenal apart after out last game where we beat them 2-0.

I know you're putting a brave face on it, but everybody knows that you are 'crushed' :)

We will all await your 'brave face' after Barca hand you your arses.
