All promoted teams to the PL get a 'Welcome Pack' for want of a better phrase which includes all the rules and regulations.

Next season's will include this new £30 away ticket rule. It's non-negotiable.

Sign here Mr Chairman.................................... to accept these conditions to receive your guaranteed PL money £100,000,000 next season

Winning the Championship isn't 'automatic' promotion, the premier League still has to accept the club. Presumably, a commitment to abide by the rules would form part of their decision.

I don't think he did. As far as I can see, he simply asked the consequences if a club charged more, which nobody seems to know.

If £30 is all they can charge away fans, it's executive boxes every away game for me. <ok>
Ah now there's a thing, nobody knows what action the Premier League would take. But people saying the club would be fined seems to have satisfied BCC ( for now )
I think he's just being argumentative as no one knows what would happen in a scenario that won't happen.
Looking forward to round 2 when BCC asks how do you know the club will be fined.

It never rains, but it pours.

Obviously the new rules only apply to standard away tickets.

The Premier League have just announced that all away tickets for next season will be capped at £30, following an emergency meeting of the Premier League clubs. Not the Twenty's Plenty that was being campaigned for, but a welcome move all the same. <ok>

This will apply for at least the next three seasons.

Pfft. :emoticon-0147-emo:

Is there a list anywhere of one clubs away prices for the whole season? I'd be interested in say Swansea, Arsenal and Villa. I'm curious as to how much difference there would be if they'd paid 30 per game rather than what it has averaged out to over a season. I've had a long day, just tried googling and couldnt get owt, but I'm sure some of the stattos on here might know.

Not read the whole thread yet just the OP but what happens if a club doesnt adhere to it?

I suppose we could speculate on hypothetical scenarios that are never going to happen if you really want BCC

I think the club would simply have their huge Sky payments withheld or something making it completely stupid of them not to charge £30 like everybody else
