Facing up to 10 years! What a ****ing idiot. In the words of George in Blackadder goes forth he's as guilty as a puppy sitting next to a pile of poo. Sure the other inmates make sure he has a pleasant stay at her Maj's pleasure, enjoy Adam!
He'd have got a shorter sentence for drinking ten pints and running her over than whatever he did. Sounds like an expensive handjob.
Some very serious delusion here. £60k a week, a new kid and an (ex) girlfriend who would not look out of place in a beauty pageant - all thrown away for a flirty five minute fumble in the back of a car. Hell of a price to pay. I actually feel sorry for him because every day for the rest of his life, he'll wake up and ask why he did it. (That does NOT mean I condone what he did - just in case you're wondering!)
I in no way condone what is about the worst crime out there, but understand that some people have vile, sick compulsions for certain 'types', a compulsion they have to control or they deserve anything thrown at them. What I can't get my head round is whilst there is no replacement for certain 'peedo types' why the **** would anyone knowingly do this with a 15 year old girl a year shy of legality? (remember Johnson was hardly a 16 or 17 year old when this happened) Maybe it's because I can't in anyway comprehend how their minds work, but **** Johnson deserves what's coming to him and probably a lot more, he only has himself to blame!
They are used to girls throwing themselves at them and pretty soon believe they are untouchable. The clubs don't help having 'fixers' clear up the mess behind them. It's a sick world many of them live in...
Stupid man. Footballers are beseiged by female gold diggers. They both knew what they were doing but as the adult, the blame lies with Johnson. He will regret his actions for ever more.
He's done wrong, he groomed, he deserves to go away...but if it is 10 years, that sounds excessive to me. He did not molest an 8 year old in her bed. He made sexual moves on a 15 year old, when leaving it for a matter of months would have made it legal (but not morally acceptable). He's not Jimmy Saville, Rolf Harris or Stuart Hall. I hope he won't be sentenced as if he is one of them, just because there's been a media storm
Johnson deserves the punishment he will undoubtedly receive. He knew what he was doing was illegal, and he did it anyway. He told Sunderland he was innocent, knowing all the time he was guilty. He continued playing, earning sixty grand each week, whilst the victim (yes, VICTIM) has had her life ruined. Anyone who has any sympathy for him, or thinks he doesn't deserve to be put away for a long time, imagine if it's YOUR fifteen year old daughter. He deserves no leniency, and I sincerely hope he doesn't get any.
In no way do I condone his behaviour. In a position of authority, he abused this trust. It will be interesting to see the tariff that is set. And also intriguing to see what happens in the Ched Evans' appeal case that's due soon. http://chedevans.com/ This one's a bit more complex. No less, it's a moral maze trying to make sense of either case.
Complete idiot, deserves to get sent down for a good few years. I have no idea what his IQ level is, but I cannot understand the thought process of what he did. Why would someone earning more in a week than I'll ever earn in a year, lovely girlfriend, risk losing everything for a girl he knew was under age? There is a saying, not sure what part of Britain it originates from, "nowt so queer as folk" How true that is!
I agree with this too. He's committed a crime and deserves to go to jail, but even 5 years would be over the top in my opinion.
