It appears that Sunderland wanted to use Johnson to help in there battle to beat the drop. Desperation springs to mind. Cash before anything else. The PL should deduct the point they got @ Liverpool in Johnson's last game for the club as he scored one of the 2 goals. It wont happen of course.
You're right, it's sad that they would abandon all of their morals as long as they get to stay in the Premier League.
The **** does that mean? I hope you're not seriously comparing us and our owners to these scum bags? If my understanding of your inference is wrong, feel free to state exactly what you mean.
I think it's sad that football clubs/fans place such importance on being in the Premier League that they'll sell out all morals to stay there, or support their clubs in doing so. Villa fans are currently protesting about their owner to a much greater extent than ever happened here. Just because he doesn't spend and they're doing ****. He hasn't done anything like what Allam has done while at City, but the biggest protests are there, because they're going down. I think that's sad.
I know one thing. Johnsons ex bird is definitely planning for life after him. kinell some of the gear she's wearing. Gagging for it.
You think fans protesting about how their club is being run, and not getting behind their owner is sad? You're full of surprises aintcha?
The protests are because he's asset stripped the club and run it into the ground. How you can support that is beyond me.
Assest stripped it? It's cost him £300m so far, by the time he gets rid he'll have lost a quarter of his person fortune purely due to owning Villa. It can be claimed he's run it badly and that ongoing losses were too high, but he certainly hasn't asset stripped it, quite the opposite.
The sale of their most valuable players with money not invested back into the playing squad - or not invested well - can certainly be a point of evidence in favour of that view to be honest. Martin O'Neill left because he saw this all coming. You can argue money has been put back into the squad, but I would suggest it's less than that that's come in. I'm surprised to hear that he's lost a quarter of his personal fortune, but I suspect that would be because the players they've bought by and large have been terrible, terrible value compared to the players they've sold, so when those players have then been on sold the club has made huge losses.
Villa have signed poor players with little resale value in order to asset strip the club? That seems unlikely to be a conscious asset stripping based decision.
Hm I might be wrong, and seem to be if he's lost so much money, but I thought the money wasn't being fully reinvested, and the money that was was being spent poorly.
I'm not bothered what he does, but the fact that many fans are more bothered about their team not being in the Premier League than other more long-term issues is sad.
What long term issues? Their club is 100m in debt, they used to challenge the Top 6, and they're about to get relegated. Why the **** shouldn't they be angry?
