I suppose you could call me a lurker/reader.

I do post very occasionally but prefer to have a read through. It's not because i fear abuse or anything like that ( I was in the armed services for 24 years so its not as if i haven't taken banter or given it in the past!)

I just enjoy reading all the news, gossip and banter!

UTT!!
Shut up you idiot.

Too many other people on here that know everything, are in the know, shout people down for having an opinion different to theirs, force their views on others blah blah blah... Shame they are like that really, especially with some being mods.... Never mind, i just read what i want and "forget" the rest... :emoticon-0102-bigsm

I think you see this forum as being something different to what it says on the tin.

It is a forum, a place of discussion and debate, often this can be views that are strongly held and forcefully put forward.

Not everyone shares the same opinion and that is what makes a forum stronger.

If everyone on here agreed about every issue, it would be a very boring read.

I read this 2/3 times per day. the reason I don't post is quite often I have had a different view to those regulars on here, and I've seen the grief other people get when they post an opposing view to the core users on here. So to avoid just getting told I'm wrong like others do, I just don't post anything

A lot of what you say happens is tongue in cheek don't take it so seriously, their bark is worse than their bite.

Nothing of the sort happens on here. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and nobody gets grief for having one, but if that opinion is a load of **** or based on lies and untruths, you will quite rightly get called out for it or corrected and set on the right path.

Stop being a ****ing pussy.

B (just offering a diffferent opinion to your usual contribution).

The core users on here have different opinions. It's not as if they all agree.

I love the fact that someone tells us the reason they don't post much as they have seen the grief others get for having a differing opinion to the core users and they then get grief for telling us that they don't post much due to the grief others get from core users, from the core users <laugh>

I am a reader (one who needs to update his name I know)
I shall share with you my one and only experience of posting on here although I can physically feel myself going red with embarrassment already......
It was a summers evening probably 2 years or so ago when my attention was drawn to a post by olm entitled "do you know this ugly bastard?" or something similar and in it was a spoof link back to your profile picture on your personal Facebook Page.
It seemed that I had left myself logged in on my parents laptop and "daddy" also being a member on here (also a reader/lurker) had hit the link and panicked!
"Son, they're all taking the piss out of you on that city site!" Was the first words in his urgent phone call.
Moi, who had just got in after an extensive work-out in a local beer garden immediately logged on and was enraged at what I saw, posting an immediate drunken holier-than-thou response about " you don't even know me blah blah"
What pissed me off even more was the other posters appeared to be pissing themselves at this!!!
Any ways, I eventually twigged what was going on and nigh on died with utter shame and self-disgust, subsequently deleting myself and creating a new account!!!

Aaaand breathe, feel better now!

Keep up the good work chaps, I may update my username and start posting a bit now I've got that off my chest
