Mine's the avatar pic, the big brother to yours GSX1250FA 14 plate, it's a really nice ride - it does steady and touring and when I rag it around a bit in 3rd & 4th it's not too bad at that, it's not sportsbike performance and handling but, for real world road-riding it's ok for me.
Yeah I knew yours was your avatar, we discussed it about a year ago. Mines quick enough for me, good riding position and plenty of low down torque. It can scare the **** out of me quite easily when necessary.
I started riding the model you have when I got back into biking, it was an absolutely brilliant thing I loved it, it's the same as mine, basically a Bandit in a fairing - they're bomb proof machines. And as for 'scaring ****' ... 0-60 in sub 3 seconds on a sports tourer will certainly do a fair bit of scaring.
I came back to biking 5 years ago on a GSF 600 Bandit then bought the GSX brand new. It's more than enough for a 53 year old born again biker. Rode my X7 30 years before that.
Nah, not me...park a bit away from the ground usually somewhere quietish: don't mind a bit of a stroll. I go to more away games than home and usually use "justpark" (formerly park at my house...i.e. on somebody's drive)...I have also used this off Spring Bank. Is there any problem leaving bikes at the KC? Never done it. If I go by car, I just park off Boulevard (normally close to ground as I usually arrive early) but I'm a bit (irrationally) twitchy about leaving my bike there. Pride & joy and all that...
A few ride to home games but like you I wouldn't leave my bike at the KC. Never heard of any problems but like a beer afterwards.
It was amusing, especially as I never said I had received grief, I said i'd seen others so I just cannot be bothered with the same
