I mainly just like to read & catch up on city news! Especially when somethings going on! I employ 10 women so it's good to switch off and enjoy the banter on here! Some do say the opposite just to provoke a response when you typed something and I try not to react ( but sometimes you have to call someone a **** ) when it's required! But Mostly you all Seem a nice bunch!

I don't know what category I would fall in probably lurker. I do read nearly everything and contribute when I feel I can. One thing though it is a great place to be most days. One thing that bores me to tears is the correcting of spelling. I work with people out here who can't even read or write but giving them hope is a gift and a great thing to see.

So sorry I'm here to stay.
I wouldn't say you were a lurker, I notice you a lot on here. It does get a bit local on here at times but I suppose I'm as guilty as any of that but I try not to put people down for having an opinion as much as I can even if they have opinions a lot different from my own. John of Aberdeen is right, don't get involved with argumentative types and then it's a nice place to read opinions and get news

One thing I would say is that when somebody posts something completely odd or ridiculous like the 'Stephen Hawking is a fool' comment recently then it does bring people on here together a bit for better or worse!

ive just started to post more after staying away,
it all started over The Allam name change thing and the board just became mental for a bit.
while it was a massive issue, every thread just descended into a farce for a while..
it seems to have clamed down now, so please don't anybody use this as an excuse to fire it all up again <laugh>

I think that was the reason anyway, maybe it was just cos I got married and wasn't allowed on the internet as much, im not sure.

Just to clarify, I don't think many would say that disagreement or foul language is in itself the issue, it's more some that reply with just abuse and foul language (albeit sometimes disguised as response) and often at the username, rather than debating the actual point made.

There are times when a short bit of abuse is appropriate, particularly when someone is just being abusive rather than arguing themselves, but for some it seems to be the default position.

Some people just genuinely can't be arsed to post all that often. I've posted 300 times in 4 years. I read the board almost every day though. I get team news, general opinion from a pretty broad spectrum of fans, and any bits of transfer news when the windows are open. I only post if I feel it will contribute in some way or i consider it funny. The regular posters see the board as a social thing, and there's nowt wrong with that but most people simply don't have the time or the desire to post regularly.
^^This mostly.

Plus I'm someone that has moved relatively recently into the area, so a 'new' fan of City. Wary of the abuse that would get me (always support your local team I say...), especially as my first full season was last season in the PL.

**** off Dutch you're the king of making mountains out of molehills and starting pointless, irrelevant arguments.

Take your silent majority with you when you **** off anarl.

And Fez.

Welcome aboard BBT ... You are a City fan that's all that matters, no one else's business as to why.

Plastic.

Support any team you want so long as it's not Manchester, Manchester, Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham or Arsenal.
