Maybe TOM can correct me but those which take place on weekends/during half terms, the children (or rather their parents pay). I've copied one from their website here(they offer plenty more):

A Soccer School involves coaching basic football skills through a range of fun games, challenges and small-sided matches. The coaches will deliver sessions which are age appropriate, safe and enjoyable for all.

Children attending a course will receive quality coaching, an attendance medal and certificate and there are chances to win prizes in a free raffle. Courses are organised Monday to Friday each week, (except Bank Holidays), with the presentation and raffle taking place on the last afternoon.

Our coaches are FA qualified and DBS checked. Children are placed in age groups.

Book: 2 days for £25, 3 days for £35, 4 days for £40, 5 days for £45.
Time: 10.00am-3.00pm

Tigers trust activities that take place in the school as a part of the child's PE will probably be free to the child. The school/fundraising may cover the cost (if any).
That explains why most take place in the East Riding then, I can't see much take up in the council estates of Hull. The club could and should do something like it for free, good marketing or PR which ever you prefer and on top of that a scouting mission too.

Out of interest, which school was it? It'd be good for the club to go back there and make a good example of Josh.

Agreed. String him up and flog him in front of all the kids.

Can't be having anyone from Hull come through our youth ranks now can we? Her aggro will be claiming credit somewhere.

The long awaited FWG meeting will take place next week, if anyone has any issues they think should be raised, then let me know.

It sounds like it will be more of a presentation and consultation on specific issues, rather than us having much of an opportunity to ask a load of questions, but I'll try and throw in any issues raised.

Please ask when will Away Direct be receiving tickets for seats that aren't stuck away in a corner, or yards beyond the touchline. Feel free to remind James Mooney of his words from last season, "Away Direct are our priority this season." When we don't sell our allocation I'll find somewhere else to stand, but when we do you get the 'it's MY seat and I MUST sit in it types, usually identified by the befuddled look on their faces as they search for said seat with ticket pressed firmly against their noses!

anything interesting said at the meeting?

I'm going to post Andy Dalton's full report on the meeting once it's ready, his meeting notes are always far better than everyone else's. Due to the nature of some of things we were consulted on last night, not everything can be published yet, so it's likely the details will have to be run by City before publication, so it may take a little longer than normal.

If I've got time this morning, I'll go through and answer some of the specific issues raise in this thread.

Usual self pitying Hull stuff. My lads used to go on these in East Riding along with plenty of kids from the local estates. Maybe some parents give their kids more priority than others. I used to go to Middlesbrough regularly in connection with junior football and the courses there were over subscribed with kids off council estates.

Guess where young Tymon went on his first coaching course?? Now with someone like him his mum and dad may/will have taken him to the KC to do one. But...
So there could be kids on Bransholme Longhill etc that are finished with it before they've even started. Dad's at work in the kids holidays and mum hasnt got a car, or single mum. Four bus journeys every day for a week!! Not gonna happen is it.

Great post Chazz

It's often well populated areas that create the best footballers. Especially as there's always large groups of kids of similar ages.

Look at Brazil and the Favelas. Often the only thing the kids have is a patch of land and a football. They play it often and in great numbers - it makes them capable at dribbling in confined areas and highly skilled.

Rooney and Gerrard both honed their footballing skills on heavily populated housing estates.

An oversight by the club.

Did you discuss season ticket prices? I'm not asking for details, unless you can provide them. Will there be any changes to the cheap children's passes? It would be nice if they come down but I'm not really expecting them to.

Most of the meeting was about next seasons ticketing arrangements, but I'm afraid I'm not able to post any details of any of it yet, it will all be announced in a couple of weeks (after a bit of tweaking).

The club accept that Away Direct members should be given priority when the seats are allocated and this will be addressed ongoing.

Perhaps not the correct place to ask but does anybody know when the questionnaire results will be released? We saw those after the first round of voting but it reopened and we haven't heard anything since.

I think this has been put on the back burner, though I can confirm that the goal music has definitely been binned.

Suggest a ticket bundle for the last 8 home games. Get a bit of marketing going with it. To be fair there was a lot of radio adverts for Brighton.
The hateful eight's gone so...

In fact Wensdee is probably too soon.
So do it as a SUPER SEVEN. 7 home games for 150 quid.

There was an article in HDM about the army coming back to a barracks in Hull .Give 500 tickets to them.

Also get the army band back. Help for Heroes stuff. Everyone supports that stuff.

There will be some offers in the coming weeks, there will also be a specific forces game.

Seriously for a sec and I accept you might be cynical, how did the meeting feel to you? Positive? Like they were listening? Or not.

Overall, it was a very positive meeting.

Much of it was us being told the club's short and long term aims, which were generally very well received.

The meeting was 3 1/2 hours long and was mainly centred around ticketing arrangements. It was primarily in the form of a presentation with an opportunity for us to give our opinions and suggest amendments to what was proposed and having taken so long, there was very little time to go over other issues in much detail.

With that in mind, I'm going to email James with some of things raised on here, particularly the stuff about schools, to try and get some further information.

The only negative issue, is the club's (or more accurately, the owners) ongoing insistence on pretending we're not called Hull City, something that will hopefully be addressed in the not too distant future.
