Given that the general consensus at the start of this term was at least a couple of seasons of starting again and re- building, I'm surprised by the lack of patience.
I've not seen much of us this season, so I bow to better judgement, but it seems we're getting what we expected.
I reckon we've got to give Jimmy a good crack at this.
We may have rode our luck last night, but you'd expect that away against a decent side.
If a keeper earns you a point, then that's a battle you won on the day - Smithies was better than their boys (except once).

I find it quite bemusing that the performances are arguably worse under JFH since he has taken over. He has had about the same amount of time as Ramsey had in this league, but isn't getting half the flack Ramsey got. He was brought in to get us promoted and if he doesn't win on Saturday he will have a worse record than Ramsey who's remit was consolidation. JFH's original remit wasn't.
To me, the difference is, Ramsey was never qualified to do be the First Team Coach. JFH has had some experience at a club one league below in that role. Ramsey had zero experience and that is was why I personally was intolerant towards him.

Do you get to many games Nines? If you do, do you see any improvements in how we play from Ramsey''s time? I have only seen the televised games and we have been bad all season in them! From the results and what I have seen we looked like we had more goals in us under Ramsey, but are harder to score against under JFH - but is there any improvement overall?

I go to all of the home games and a few away Ossie. The home game against Ipswich is the only time I've seen us play decently under Hasselbaink.

Ramsey is certainly qualified enough. He has every coaching badge under the sun. Take a look at the Spurs team and see all the young talent that is now emerging. Guess who that was down to? Hasselbaink is performing worse than Ramsey did, but some of the abuse he was getting at the time was appalling. Ramsey was following his remit. Hasselbaink has failed in his and is now ironically working to the same one that Ramsey was given.

Ramsey never managed a club's first team. Coaching badges help you coach. They don't help you manage., Managing 16 year old kids and managing a Joey Barton type (opinionated know it all) on £70K a week are entirely two different things and Ramsey proved he couldn't do it. I'm not saying JFH's results are any better but at least he is somewhat qualified to do the job.

I'm not saying either of them are perfect either mate but I think Hasselbaink isn't qualified enough either. I hope to be proven wrong.

I hope you're wrong too lol. I am prepared to give him a bit more time. I admit his experience at Burton is limited but at least he has managed a league club before he came to us.

He also managed a club in Belgium prior to taking over at Burton, so he does have a tad more managerial experience than some are giving him credit for......

The same matches I have Jimbo.......do you not remember how wide open our defense was under Ramsey.....do you not remember how dependant we were on Charlie......I am not saying all our problems have gone...all I am saying it is better than it was in October- November under Ramsey

We've got Hasselbaink and it won't change this season. As a rookie manager in this division, his fear of failure is reflected in the way we play. We won't go down. We won't go up. He'll have the summer to reshuffle the squad, and next season, the first 10 games will be his big test.

I have to agree, also Burton Albian seem to be doing very well without Jimmy, still sitting pretty at top of league one.

I'm not in anyway trying to say Jimmy doesn't deserve any credit for that.

I do think we have exhausted any other option now than to let Jimmy have at least a couple of years at the healm.

A workman is only as good as the tools he's given. They must have a good set of tools at Burton right now, but do at ours I'm not so sure?

QPR mostly. Not saying we've been good under Hasselbaink but utter shambles like Fulham away, Brentford away and Birmingham away have been rarer or at least it's seemed that way.

I'll raise you ... You're three away games to my two home and one away. Fulham at home, Hull at home and Ipswich away. Your three games were all away. Two of the three I mentioned were at home. All as bad or as comical as those you've mentioned Wat's.

Regardless of the tit for tat, we have lost 23 points from winning positions this season. Whatever we thought of Ramsey or think of JFH it's and the club it's an utter and complete bloody shambles.

I'll still be there on Saturday though. Probably looking forward to the pub and the rugby afterwards in truth more than the football.
