QPR are back on the road again tonight (Tuesday), with a trip to Sheffield Wednesday in the Sky Bet Championship.

Three days on from the 1-1 draw at Bolton Wanderers, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink’s side will be looking to return to winning ways, but it certainly won’t come easy against an Owls side gunning for promotion to the top-flight.

Carlos Carvalhal’s side – who currently sit sixth – owe much of their lofty league position to their incredible home form. They have only lost once in front of their own fans this term – against high-flying Middlesbrough six months ago.

Whilst Rangers left it late to salvage a share of the spoils at the Macron Stadium this weekend, Wednesday succumbed to a shock 1-0 defeat at Preston North End.

PNE front-man Joe Garner powerfully headed Calum Woods' cross past Keiren Westwood for his fourth goal of the season – six minutes before that, Wednesday's top-scorer Fernando Forestieri was sent off for a second bookable offence.

The Italian was yellow carded for a dive early in the second half before being penalised for a deliberate handball, and will miss tonight’s clash at Hillsborough.

The loss was Wednesday's first in the league since December 28th and saw them slip six points adrift of the automatic promotion places.

R’s midfield lynchpin Ale Faurlin remains a doubt for the trip to the Steel City with the thigh injury sustained against Ipswich Town just over a fortnight ago.

Just A Random Photo Of QPR Fans At Loftus Road

A tough test tonight. The funny thing is we often do well when in tough tests and perform shockingly when we should have an easier time.

It would be good to see Ale on the bench at least. Then again I'm all for Ale taking precautions, considering his injury history.

Guessing this game won't be streamed anywhere will it. A classic evening of listening to the football on the radio. Lovely.

How can this be a hard game?

I remember many posters stating after the home game that Wednesday are a side we should beat easily!

A point tonight would be very welcoming.

Thanks 999
This is a really difficult one.
Wednesday are a good team built on spirit and team ethos.
They are worth a top 6 spot....Will be happy if we just make a game of it...

Nasser starts. Well deserved. Ale out still unfortunately. He's shaken the team about a bit and it looks good apart from the missing Ale.
