Blah blah blah you closet toon fan obsession with Newcastle is a good thing Must say it amuses me to see you raging like a 12 year old. You remind me of the way Tash was.
Honest and balanced evaluation. After Chappaz's pretty decent post, the children come in to try and play. What you saw the thread calm down and so you'd thought you'd try and get it all going again? Pricks.
I see he has been fined £100K for his comments silly boy. That will make him want to stay even more. Well done Ashley
Ashley has put the final nail in the coffin now I think. There's no ****ing way on this earth that Enrique is going to stay and play for the fat man. He'll be playing tonight in our final US tour game and I wouldn't be surprised if he just puts zero effort in. On the other hand though, Enrique's outburst was moronic. You don't see other players in other clubs doing that, and for good reason.
I agree that it was stupid but you dont make things worse by hitting him with a fine, If you want to keep him you sit him down and talk to him
Agreed, that's what man management is all about. Apparently, Alan Parsnip was happy with their little chat until the fat man stuck his beak in.
I think the facts are that Jose wanted a move, Capdevilla is surely coming to the end of his time at the top, and Jose is in a fight to get his spot, with Naxto Monreal moving to Malaga, who will be MASSIVELY in the public eye this season with the new wealth and signings, he probably needs to get noticed now. I hear you're looking at Bridge, how do you feel about that? I wouldn't want him personally.
You can tell that Ashley has the same sort of relationship with players as he would in any of his normal businesses like Sports Direct. They're employees, he's the boss and he chooses them, they don't choose him. He seems to have the policy that no player is bigger than the club, and no matter how good a player is, he won't pussyfoot around them if they step out of line. That sort of approach has its good and bad points. Also, by what the press are saying, it seems like Pardew sat down with Enrique for a heart-to-heart talk about the situation and was prepared to just tell him off, but Ashley is the one who is fuming and has slapped down a £100k fine.
I'll be really disappointed. He's naff. What a step-down from Enrique. Seems unlikely though. Ashley clearly has a policy of buying young talent to mature and (probably) eventually sell on. Bridge and his big wages don't fit that whatsoever.
I guess it depends on what City want for him though, it'd likely be a low fee, on the basis that he's ****e. This fall out has probably alerted a few clubs, the problem for the club is that potential buyers will offer less now, as they can see a clearly unhappy player, with a year left on a contract, and an owner who will always look to take the money. I could see a few bids around the £6million mark heading in, and it'll be hard to turn them down (for Fat Mike anyway).
Mike will just take what he can get I think, considering that he only has one year of his contract left. It's a case of either getting some cash now for an unhappy player, or keeping an unhappy player for a year and then letting him leave for nout. However, there's a possibility that no one will bid just yet and wait until January to put in even cheaper offers months before his contract expires.
Have you got any kids coming through who are maybe close to game time at left back? It's a horrid position to buy in, Warnock is the best option about really, but he's back in favour under McLeish, you really struggle after that.
Baines is the left back of choice mate, he'll get you points galore from assists, a load of clean sheets and the odd goal
