To the people who put Lady Gaga down I don't think anyone could have done a better job, and I've seen no one do a better tribute, if you think there is or seen a better performance post it here.
I just watched the Gaga 'tribute' and it reminded me of when Leslie Crowther and his sidekick used to do the latest pop songs on Crackerjack. Horrendous.

What question? I gave my opinions on Lasy Gaga who has cashed in on the death of Bowie. I don't believe she has made any tribute apart from to herself I also agree with Bowies son on this Lady Gaga has not made any contribution to art that warrants any justification of doing a tribute to anyone. Pretty certain Bowie if he even wanted a tribute he would of preferred a talent Lady Gaga has turned his death into a commercial operation to spotlight herself ... It's art of course but the morals behind it look very crass and suspect to me. It's a modern culture that develops people to try and own an event Could she not of done this a year ago? Was it planned a year ago? Most Bowie fans worldwide knew he was on the clock as we all are it was only a surprise to most that he made 18 months in which IMO he made a beautiful original exit from this world It was only the mainstream public who woke up to the shock of his death So for some terrible human being to come along and steal that spotlight and make money is evil IMO The crackerjack comment on here is my favourite and sums it up brilliantly I sincerely hope this event ruins a very daft parasite career for a person who has embedded herself in a world where one costume of the 8 she wears a day could feed many families Make no mistake with this promotion it has little to do with a tribute and comes from a evil that has no material . Lady Gaga is commercially savvy. So was Bowie. She does seem to be trying to cash in on his death which is rather distasteful. I found her tribute to be quite good. It's incredibly difficult to sing an iconic singer's songs. You don't often hear people trying to do a Freddie Mercury number etc. Gaga actually has a very good voice.
Apart from the fact that she 99%/1% split on visual image… anyone on here could sing like Lady Gaga through a standard home PC Born into the business and area she is nothing but manufactured IMO no doubt she has received the right training and influences. The sad irony is that she is possibly more wealthy than Bowie. I agree with Fred Mercury and thankfully no one tries … nor should they do Bowie IMO She is always trying to twist distasteful, I felt the same about the V&A when they ran the Bowie Expo knowing death was upon him… I still went to my failings and the Cd's were £14.99 in the V&A shop … £6 in HMV
For someone who writes and composes all of her songs and produces most of them herself I would say she is only rivalled by Madonna. To say she is "cashing in" on someones death is an insult imo as she's been very clear long before Bowie's death that he's her biggest influence. She doesn't lip sync live, goes her own way all the time, re-inventing herself by every album she releases makes her stand out from the mass production of the corporate created music of today. What is said about her above is exactly what she's not. Know your facts, don't make 'em up
Beth, if you read TWGs list of insults he posted against Lady Gaga, including that he hopes she dies, I think you will understand.
She creates no doubt but not for me … it's all borrowed and not making anything up she was born into it if you research it and he has glossed over her upbringing They all do it to set an image. She didn't have to announce a business deal with intel as the same time as this IMO but she did so she deserves the worldwide slagging she is getting. A great artist died and only then the tribute? get real lads
