  1. I've liked Lovren since Klopp arrived. He's still made a few mistake but he's much better than before. I think you need to forget what happened prior to Klopp's arrival.

Not sold mate - as you say, he played better but still making mistakes. He's improved up to a slightly below average level which is not good enough.

As we've seen with Matip, we can be shrewd and replace squad players with younger, better and cheaper players, and maybe make a bit of profit in the process.

Sell Skrtel and Lovren for £15-20m, free up £170-200k in wages (plus Kolo's wages) and we can go big for a very good RCB.

  3. Oh, he's still not been good enough. However, he was very good at Southampton with a organiser and DM next to him. If Matip organises and we get a DM, why wouldn't he be good for us?

I only meant as a squad option anyway. We need more than a strong XI

Just been reading on sky about Chinese transfer window... So much money in that league but only allowed max 5 foreign players (although that'll prob change soon I'd imagine) they probably can afford to spend stupid amounts on 1 or 2 players.

Also so says that Chelsea apparebtly turned down a £75m bid for Oscar <laugh>
If true someone at Chelsea needs to be sent to the loony bin.

Probably wise to wait and see if he works out before saying that.
Unless you've already decided, of course. <whistle>

I'm 99% confident he'll do no worse than some of our senior players, and on less wages. <ok>

Matip won't be anything like Hypia lads - although I admire the optimism <laugh>

He's known to be be very error prone and his decision making is on par with Sakho. Hypia didn't make errors (rarely anyway).

We'll have Matip and Sakho. Two very good defenders but without a leader they could be a disaster. Hopefully one of them matures quickly and/or is trained to take control of the back line.

The height is good and if he brings the odd goal then great, but if Klopp doesn't buy (or train/find) a top leader somewhere in the back line we're still going concede bucket loads. A goal keeper that will terrify the defence into shape would be the obvious move, but Migs signing a 5 year deal is a very odd decision - unless he's happy to spend large parts on the bench and that was discussed during negotiations (which is doubtful tbh).

By the sounds of the recent rumours it seems like he's looking straight at sorting the defence out as a priority - but let's be honest, it's so obvious we need a leader at the back ANYONE would surely do the same.

The Tex rumours suggest we'll add a big money move to improve our attack. So is he happy with the middle of the park? Probably, given the comments about Milner and his fellow German Can. We'll see - but the hints clearly suggest we'll tighten the back first, then add some flair/width.

I wouldn't expect (or want) any more in one window. Klopp would struggle integrating any more than 4 players into a team, like any manager would in one go. Unless of course you're Chico Flores <whistle>

I think he went to a 3rd (2nd?) division club. So even the lower league teams seem to have the $$$$

    Maybe Neuer himself <whistle>

If not... who the **** is 'like Neuer'? He's not human, so we should probably send scouts to Mars.

They'd only find Matt Damon and I doubt he's any good as a goalkeeper.

Think the Germans are producing the best keepers at the moment, ter Stegen would be a good buy.

Quality player but he's another like Cout/Lallana in that works best centrally.. obviously better quality than Lallana and probably more consistent than Couts but we need width. A player like Tex or Willian for example that can play wide more naturally and offer pace and attacking threat, especially if go to a 4231 which Klopp used as Dortmund.

Below is how would see us setting up in ideal word, although I guess you could put Cout wide and Gotze middle, just feel we become a lot more narrow then

    Firm Cout NEW
    Sturridge

He'd get more action for us in one game than he does in one season at Bayern <laugh>

I'd rather we sign him than ANY other player in world football tbh. Especially with the situation we're currently in.

Give me Ter Stegen and Suarez as a combo and I'd take that instead.
