AC Milan coach Sinisa Mihajlovic has hinted that Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli may have played his last match on loan for the Rossoneri – after a plodding two minute substitute appearance for Milan yesterday. Milan were leading Genoa 2-0 when Balotelli was introduced for Carlos Bacca, and in that time Genoa pulled a goal back. But even though Milan won the match 2-1 coach Mihajlovic saw enough to rap: “We should’ve scored a third goal and not risked at the end. It is also my fault, as those who don’t sacrifice themselves for the team to the 94th minute will no longer set foot on the field. “It wasn’t just Balotelli, there were another two or three as well as him, they know who I’m talking about." What a waste of time he is for any club, I am really hoping the club are working hard toward selling him or at least loaning him out long term again before pre-season as we simply dont need his lack of effort and arrogance anywhere near the squad.
I was hoping he'd turn over a new leaf for us, but this attitude thing just dogs him wherever he goes, and it's about time he looked at the common denominator instead of thinking "Why always me?" It just seems he's a disruptive influence wherever he is and I can't see him ever making much of his career unless he suddenly has a revelation.
The only hope with Balotelli is that a Chinese club might be ignorant enough to be interested. If we can't ship him out on loan or sell him I hope we would just terminate his contract.
3 points on matip. 1. He is taller than any of our CBs. 2. He might actually be able to hold his position properly 3. he can play DM too. Overall I think sahko better start getting worried if this guy is best at LCB cos frankly sahko cannot hold his position. he's constantly doing a luiz, running off all over the place.
Looks like Xhaka and Nordtveit are targets for the summer as well. Good to see us already planning for the summer.
These are all solid defensive based players. two frees if true (nordveit and matip) IF you look at what we are doing there we are building a hard to beat side but if you then look at teixteria attempt we have an eye to goals.
We will be back in for an attacking midfielder. It is clear without Coutinho, we have no link up play or flair and I'm guessing Klopp thinks likewise. We have other players who you could class as attacking midfielders, but they are all useless.
I would say Firmino and Coutinho are our best creative players - both feed off having quality around them. A pacey wide man will be a priority for us in the summer I reckon as I think Klopp will go for 4231
I think Matip and Nordtveit would represent great business - I'm not a fan of buying squad players but if we can bring in younger and better quality squad players and save money in wages by replacing the older squad players (I presume Lucas and Toure are the ones to make way), then I'm happy.
i dont think sakho has that much to worry about to be fair id be more worried if i was skrtel with matip coming in, i think itll be skrtel who goes, which frees a space up for gomez to bench hop gomez matip sakho lovren +1st team quality cb im excited to see what business klopp and the club can do this summer
To be quite honest, i would be happy for klopp to move any of our current squad on if it was 100% his decision, and i mean anyone. I think having 5 cbs next season should be enough Matip+Sakho(or new CB) and gomez and lovren as back ups Id sooner we kept lovren as back up and use the saved money to get a better keeper and or another sturridge level front man
